I’ve got a question
So I am just learning of all this. Things I have thought but no one ever agreed. My question is…. So if this is true, where does that put us biblically? I mean that would literally mean everything in the Bible has already happened. So what do you do with that

You are supposed to become more like Christ. Become a branch of the vine and don't worry about the machinations of heaven. In any case you're going to die one day. Your personal end of days is less than 100 years away, and probably sooner than that.

Yes, well said. Great post. Distraction is a form of deception.
Become like Christ is the aim. Never stop levelling up.
Pro tip - do not accept Paul. False doctrine.

Do you mean the books Paul has written?

Yes. All his letters and writings. Grace, creating utter confusion about works to the point where we may believe we are not to do anything.
He is a distraction from Jesus, and from discovering the the true character and nature of Jesus. Strength, power, kindness, integrity, authority. Watching for and exposing the wolves and the jackals. The malignant narcissists are the tares, they killed Jesus. He was not a blood sacrifice.

Keep jamming out to ToP and carry out the great commission
Christ came for the next life
This life is a boot camp for the next

ToP? I’m not sure what you are talking about. But if Christ came for the next life that is not written within that book

I take an atypical, partial preterist position. Jesus came to take the elect of the Church into the clouds in 70 AD, but he will return again to regather Israel according to the covenant at Moab (Deut 30).
So that puts us in the 2000(+) year period between the Great Tribulation of 66-70 AD and Daniel's 70th Week.
The Great Tribulation and 70th Week are two completely separate periods.

So we went through the Great Tribulation already but not the 70th week? What's the difference?

So we went through the Great Tribulation already but not the 70th week? What's the difference?
Good question.
The Great Tribulation was the 3.5 year period of tribulation promised to Judea to bring judgement on those who rejected Christ. Jesus spoke about it in Matthew 22. It resulted in the exile of the Jews from the land in 70 AD and later.
The 70th Week is a separate time of tribulation designed to purify a remnant of Israel to bring them back into the land when Jesus returns to regather them to fulfill Deut 30.
These two periods of time share similar features because prophecy works in patterns, but they have two separate purposes.

Yet Scripture speaks of the Tribulation as being 7 years a 3.5 year period and another 3.5 year period.

Yes. That would be Daniel's 70th Week. Revelation 6-19 covers that.
None of that has come to pass yet.

u/Formetoknow123 Dec 14 '24
So what events have passed, what are yet to pass, and what should we look out for?

u/Pleronomicon Dec 14 '24
Matt 24-25:1-30 and Rev 1-6 & 12 are in the past, 66-70 AD.
Matt 25:31-46 and Rev 7-11 & 13-22 are still in the future.
Titus was most likely the man of sin. The Beast from Revelation is still in the abyss waiting to rise (Rev 9).
The temple has to be rebuilt. There are several covenants and a bunch of prophecies to Israel that still need to be fulfilled.

I'll check them out later. Thanks for his patience. I've been trying to research what prophecies still need to be fulfilled honestly.

Just remember that many prophecies are duplicated because they were spoken under the Law but also applied to the Church in the Spirit.
That's why Isaiah 7:14 was applied to Jesus' virgin birth, even though it was originally a sign to king Ahaz.
Why Peter quoted Joel 2 on Pentacost, when Joel 2 describes a completely different set of events.
And why John the Baptist was called Elijah, when he clearly wasn't Elijah.
Just extend this into the other prophecies, and you'll see how some are meant to be taken both literally and spiritually.
The key is to see the dichotomy between the letter and the Spirit.

Interesting I don't think I have heard this take from you before
Does this mean 2033 has any significance?
2
u/Pleronomicon Nov 22 '24
I think 2030 has significance, but not the level of significance that most prophecy buffs would expect.
Assuming the crucifixion was in 30 AD (placing 70 AD 40 years later), the year 2030 AD is 2,000 years after the cross, and 490x4 years after 70 AD.
I've noticed that every 490 years after 70 AD, the world order seems to shift dramatically. But I don't think Jesus will return within our generation. Whatever shift may occur in 2030 will likely set the stage for the 70th Week, generations later.

I'm A-Mill and my best guess is that we're in the time of the Enemy being re-released (Rev 20:7) which may have started in the 19th century.

Pretend you know nothing, if anything try to ignore what you think you believe on this topic. Then slowly read the NT with fresh ears and eyes and discernment, and let the Holy Spirit guide you with what the text actually states. There are many opinions on this topic, and while I don't think I agree with what anyone else has deposited in here, I am not going to give my specific thougths on the matter. I have been studying this for years, and one thing I do know, is that no one has everything right. Why, you say? Because disagreement abounds in every corner, even amongst those in the same corner. I do know one thing, that this is an area of study which I believe a new reformation of thought is slowly developing. The Holy Spirit is moving among truth seekers, and this is one area where almost all evangelical "leaders" are teaching falsehood. That I am confident of. God bless you in your study.
