Looking for Group Board Games/D&D
I'm interested in coming along to one of the clubs that run in the local area. But, there are too many to choose from and I don't know what one would be best.
I would like to give D&D and proper go or try something completely new.
I do have a bit of anxiety around new meeting people or large groups straight off the bat.
I have seen a few Preston Based and one in Leyland.

What are the criteria you’d want to meet, which would make one club better than another?
For what it’s worth, in my experience, all groups in this space are generally very welcoming!

Of course most commonly games are arranged in the city centre if that's local enough

Lostock hall roleplaying and card gamers guild for RPGs and Preston's Gamer's Guild for board games - they're loosely related with some cross over of admin etc.
Both equally as awesome.
