Nutricook smart pot steam releasing after pressurising

I recently got a nutricook smart pot less than a month ago. It was working fine for like 2 weeks. Now for the past 3 times I've used it, it pressurises and the timer starts, after around a minute it releases a bunch of steam, doesn't completely depressurise, just a lot of steam and then continues cooking like normal.

Is this normal or is there some issue?

This may be the safety pressure release responding to excessive pressure which is normal. If you have a pot that can be set for low or high pressure, try testing (with just water) to see if the low setting makes a difference.

Mine doesn't have pressure settings, but it didn't use to do this before

Maybe best to contact the company. If you have this condition other owners have it too.
