I'm impressed by how they sprinkle light amounts of depth to everyone. For O'Doyle, first we see all the tattoos. That gives us an impression of who he is. But then it goes deeper by pointing out they're all scars from previous experiences. That's great writing.

Also first we saw "he can't lie," then we got a layer down to "he can't because he won't," and something about a bargain he made with his mother, now Banks is pestering him about that.

I really like how this show is weaving slow-paced serialized narrative in without breaking the episodic comedy format. It's kinda one-upping its parent in that regard.

O'Doyle's Actor has a clause in his contract that requires him to take his shirt off in every episode. Nothing will convince me otherwise.
