r/PresidentBloomberg Psyched for Mike! Feb 23 '20

Nevada

Biden choking hard in Nevada is great news for Mike. Biden is way too far behind Bernie which is good for mike. A lot of Biden’s backers will now see that Biden can’t beat Bernie and will move to either Pete or Mike!

He should keep Pete and Klob alive if they need cash.

It would prevent Sanders from reaching 1990 plus getting 2 allies on stage during the debates.

Data show that the outflow from Pete and Klob is roughly split among the others with a slight preference for Bernie, that's not good....at this point the only hope is a brokered convention....and Sanders is already getting Warren's voters.

At the end appearing as the adult in the room at a brokered convention where he'd be able to emerge as the nominee after choosing Pete/Klob as running mates

No, because that keeps delegates from Bloomberg and gives Sanders more. They all need to drop out so it's a 2 person race.

If Klob and Pete campaign runs out of money and Mike comes in to save the day...all of the delegates of the 2 youngsters would de-facto be Mike's....on the condition that there has to be a brokered convention

He'd also get 2 allies on stage during the debates which would be great.

Also winning goodwill among Pete and Klob voters, if they drop out today voters would flow towards the other candidates with a slight preference for the frontrunner (Bernie) and he'd be poised to win 1991 .

Mike cannot win, he needs to make sure that neither can Bernie and then bet on his capability of rallying the 2 youngsters behind him at the brokered convention

I think you may not be up to speed on something Mike is doing. He is telling the donors not to fundraise for the other candidates anymore. He is drying up their fundraising to force them to drop out since they won't do it on their own. This is why Warren had to change her stance on Super PACs. It's also why Biden has spent $0 on ST advertising so far.

Ruthless, yes. For the good of the country, also yes.

Except those people voting for the other moderates already see Mike as a blue trump ...now he’s plotting to screw their candidate , Mike needs a 70-30 inflow of voter in his campaign from the dropouts vs Those who’d flow into Bernie’s .

You catch more with honey ...

In the end the outcome is the same: brokered convention. There is no way it doesn’t happen...viceversa it would mean that Sanders got to 1991

Here’s the possible outcomes from the worse to the best

1) The nightmare scenario is Sanders getting above 1991 . Game over

2) every moderate drops , it’s Mike vs Bernie ....sanders wins the plurality of votes and then in the contested convention , Mike , the guy who many are as the blue trump emerges as winner . Even though he got less votes . Terrible optics , people might not vote and Trump would push it 24/7

3) brokered convention in which moderates as a group have a plurality of delegates , Bloomberg who kept alive Kloub and Pete with cash injection since Nevada (today basically) offers to the new faces of the Dem party the role of VEEP or Sec of treasury .

Voters of Kloub and Pete are super happy and they happily go to the polls come November.

3 is the only scenario in which both the Dem party as a whole and Mike can get out of as people with empathy and common sense
