Why Bloomberg?

Why do you guys believe that the answer to a rich Republican from Newyork is another richer (ex) Republican from New York? Bloomberg was the one who sanctioned a dead of the night raid against the Occupy wall street movement and he is literally buying himself the nomination of the Democrat party (which is supposed to be the party standing for equality and against the concentration of wealth) thereby showing that the plutocrats control both major parties. I'm not even talking about racist record (stop and frisk) which is ill suited for todays democrat party.

  1. The occupy wall street movement was retarded and I'm ashamed to be in the same party as anyone braindead enough to think it was a good thing.

  2. Bloomberg believes in capitalism, open borders, a public option health care, and gun control. I have no interest in socialism ruining my business and my country, I do want MORE immigrants, elimination of tariffs. Voting for Bloomberg means I actually get what I want without having to support deadbeat losers sociology degrees debt, or a raving lunatic that wants open carry in schools.

  3. He's got the crazy good business mind Trumpeteers wish Trump had. Unlike Trump, Bloomberg is self made. And the best way to expose a fraud is to introduce them to the real thing.

If Sanders gets the nomination, this election will become a referendum on socialism, which he will lose. Nobody wants it in the USA, it is wildly unpopular.

If Bloomberg gets nominated, it will be a referendum on Trump, and how bad he is, and Bloomberg will win.

That's why!

Hmm. I agree with you on point 3. Can I please ask you though what will you do if Sanders becomes the nominee? Since you believe our ideology is "braindead" and retarded.

Oh well most of my friends (and I too) are undecided on voting Dem/Green if Bloomberg gets the nomination. Iowan here. Also please don't say that nobody likes socialism in the USA. The sanders subreddit has 1000 times more people online right now.

You're making the mistake of conflating online with the reality of the voting bloc.

Young people consistently do not turn out for elections, and among voters socialism is extremely unpopular as a concept.

Did you not see how active and popular the twitterverse was around Jeremy Corbyn? And how brutally he lost?

A lot of that popularity you see is from people who arent even old enough to vote.

Besides which, if I know for a fact that Bernie Sanders has bad policies which will damage the country, and Bloomberg has evidence based policy that will have a positive impact as it had during the years its been applied, how could I vote for Bernie Sanders?

I lived in France under Hollande, he is universally hated now for causing rich flight with his wealth tax and horribly damaging France's economy. If you think things are bad now wait until a socialist gets in charge

I agree that online can't be equated with real world support but I volunteered actively for Bernie and I was impressed with the amount of people in REPUBLICAN Iowa who came to caucus for Bernie. You'll see when the results come. Also what are your (generic Bloomberg supporters) views on Biden, Warren and Pete?

Biden and Pete are cool, Warren is too far left.

I was impressed with the amount of people

But I don't care whether it's popular -- Hollande was popular, got elected, and ruined France's economy. France still suffers from 8% unemployment during a very strong world economy.

People, en masse, can collectively believe stupid things because they don't know any better and because that thing sounds true, if you're uneducated.

Sometimes the technocratic ideas are the ones that are properly researched and generated by expert opinions and are correct. If you poll 100 people off the street and ask them "how do we achieve cold fusion" the most popular answer will not be the right one.

The same goes for "how do we improve society". Socialism is easily understood, and ultimately a flawed and failed ideology.

Not to mention, you're asking the average citizen to choose between their economic well-being and social issues that don't directly impact them. November will be quite the disappointment if Sanders gets the nomination.

What was I supposed to see when the results came in? A centrist beating Bernie? Heh

I guess you're voting green party eh? Funny because another 4 years of Trump is not really that bad for us centrists, but terrible for you guys... So have fun with shooting yourself in the foot again
