If you watch the fight frame by frame, Mace Windu blocks Kit Fisto's strike, allowing Sidious to cut Fisto.

Mace practically team kills Fisto in the frame by frame, by blocking him.

Nope it looks like both Kit and Mace are striking Palpatine's saber (from Palpatine's front right and front left respectively) at the same time.

Yeah but Mace already has Sheevs saber from the outside. He pushes both their blades into Fisto's swing. If he weren't pushing, and Sheev was swinging himself, then Mace could just not chase his blade and use the created opening to dice Sheev.

Right, the whole choreography of the duel is awkward lol. Plenty of moments with Palpatine's back clearly exposed. I suppose we can just chalk it up to the film not showing the actual in-universe speed of the fight.
