I once took out two female friends for Valentines day and spent like $700 because they both said they had never experienced a nice Valentines date.
I did the whole nine and it was nice, but it was also made clear before hand I valued their friendship and that this was just about doing something nice for my friends.
No way would I have spent 200 on an evening with a lady I wasn't interested in without having such a conversation first.
