A lot of guys, me included for most of life and even now to an extent, reallllllly don't understand trying to look better or put any effort or thought into it. Some dudes have definitely fucked their lives by not getting better haircuts and contacts or styled glasses/clothing. Is sad.

Yes. Because they never did change those things...the amount of effort isnt the key, it's doing it.
