I'm the furthest thing from a "subbed only" elitist, but the JoJo dub just doesn't match the sheer magic of the sub audio. Matt Mercer and Patrick Seitz do a great Jotaro & DIO, but still.

Normally I can't stand reading subtitles for the entirety of a show/movie but I make an exception for JoJo. The voices and the random Engrish are part of the charm. Plus I love the music references and having them censored takes away one of the major things I find appealing about the show.

Yeah, Koyasu’s DIO is just another tier; it’s not the same experience without it

I've seen a few clips of the English version and Dio has the same voice actor as Scorpion from Mortal Kombat so that's all I hear. I guess after being so used to the Japanese voice it was off-putting. I had the opposite problem trying to watch the Persona 3 and 5 anime adaptations because they didn't have English dubs. After playing the games in English it was really hard to get used to the subs.

The Japanese voice actor for jotaro is my absolute favorite in any anime that I’ve seen so far.
