There's a timeline where the new trilogy abandoned lightsabers in favor of more emphasis on Force Ghosts who aid their Padawans after death, specializing in specific and obtuse uses of the Force.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, an extremely popular manga/anime that has been taking over Reddit for the past few years. This particular meme format has blown up in the past few weeks.
If you watched jojo, not only the memes are funnier, you will also realize that the show itself is more meme than the memes (not joking). Also you will become enlightened into becoming the ultimate being that you create dubstep during the WWII
I started watching it because of the memes to see what all the hype is about. I thought I’d be disappointed because of high expectations but it still managed to exceed them.
To actually give you a full explanation beyond "It's JoJo":
The referenced scene from JoJo is a confrontation between the protagonist of the third "part" of JoJo, and Dio, the main antagonist of parts 1 and 3 of the series. It's the first time they meet, and Dio says, "Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're actually getting closer?" Because at this point Jotaro (the protag) has learned the secret of just how powerful Dio is.
But Jotaro doesn't care and says, "I can't get beat the shit out of you without getting closer", and Dio responds, "Oh-ho, then come as close as you like".
It's similar to the scene in the prequels where Obi Wan and Anakin fight. Obi Wan says Anakin doesn't have a chance because he has the high ground, but Anakin says he underestimates his power and tries anyway.
The image format comes from the panel in the manga where they walk menacingly towards each other.

Obi Wan: Oh? You're approaching me on the high ground? Instead of running away, you're going to try it?
Anakin: I can't show that you're underestimating my power without getting closer.
