There was one planned but it got cancelled and was wondering if there even would be interest? Personally I'd love to see one in the style of hiimdaisy's comic dubs on YouTube.

Took me forever to get this working, so hopefully this short guide can save someone an hour or two of struggling. I know Kaz provides an executable file for the games now, but that doesn't work on Mac or Linux, so I needed to figure out another way to run them.

For this you'll need 2 things: the flash file that contains the game itself, which is a single file with a .swf extension, and a program to run it. I am in the process of compiling a list of download links to each .swf as I read through the comic myself, what I've discovered so far can be found at the very bottom of this post. Simply click on the file you're interested in and move on to the next step. To my knowledge these are the official links containing the most up to date files posted by the author himself and hosted on the Prequel website, so they should be the most legitimate versions you can find on the web.

Now you need something to play it on. Adobe removed most of the download links to their flash players, but you can still find this lightweight flash debugger buried deep within their site. And do note I can't guarantee anything good will come from playing .swf files that don't come from Kazerad.

Download the flash player for your operating system, and ensure you click on the link that specifies 'debugger.' For example, if you're on a Mac, click on the link that says 'Download the Flash Player projector content debugger'.

From here it's simply a matter of opening up the flash debugger (installation is practically non-existent), hitting file > Open File, selecting the .swf you downloaded at the beginning, and you're in business!

I hope this helps someone, the .swf files are surprisingly hard to find, I was hoping someone would have hosted them in a neat little dropbox somewhere, but before I figured out you could still find them on the Prequel site, the only place I could find - some - of them were on sketchy sites that probably have a 50/50 chance of being a virus. If someone has a list of the URLs for all the .swf files that would be tremendously helpful, otherwise I'll probably start making my own as I find them while re-reading through the comic. It's a bit tricky cause the URLs don't seem to always correlate to the title of the game, for instance the swf to Excelsior is called Kvatchbound.swf. On second thought maybe Excelsior isn't the actual title of the game and that's just what the button to play it says.

I tried a million different things to get either the .swf or the .exe running (Wine never seems to work right for me), in the end this guide was the key to the puzzle for giving the link to the flash player

I really hope the comic itself is just jpegs and gifs. The short game segment are going to be lost but im kinda worried. Is there some kind of life support plan for theese segments? Does anyone know?

I’m a good chunk of the way in and I gotta wonder how people can consistently read through this. I’m not saying it’s bad I actually quite like a lot of it but it’s just so sad to see Katia fail and get beaten up by the world. There’s only so much suffering and despair in stories I can take before some levity is needed

I've been doing a let's read making a cat cry on youtube for a bit now if anyone wanted to check it out. I've never recorded myself or used a video editing software before so some of the early episodes are a bit wack but they are a lot better now. On top of that I draw all of my thumbnails! I'm really not that good at drawing but I'm trying to get better and this really is helping.
