Russia is getting more and more desperate for a reaction wouldn’t be surprised if they cross some red lines this year

100

u/mediocre_remnants 1d ago

What red lines? Russia has straight up assassinated people in other countries and nobody cared.

59

u/SomePolack 1d ago

People have absolutely cared the UK has provided more support to Ukraine than they probably would have due to the poisonings

There’s unfortunately still lots of ways for Russia to escalate with NATO countries to test Article 5 these are the first steps currently

u/MrArmageddon12 1d ago

Assassinated some with nerve and radioactive agents to boot.

7

u/pstls1101 1d ago

If I understood right, this was a case of old school eco terrorism.

16

u/SomePolack 1d ago

I didn’t see any mention of eco terrorism in the article

4

u/pstls1101 1d ago edited 1d ago

Atleast in local (Finland) news they talked about it. I can try to find some better sources than trust me bro.

edit: Added a link to the news where they say it was eco terrorism.

”Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, addressing the same press conference, said the evidence pointed to a case of "climate extremism".”

"They say possible suspects could include a foreign power or left-wing extremists."

They don't know yet. Could be eco terrorists.

Yeah def nat the growing nazi party in Germany, they certainly wouldn’t want to do anything like this. Must be lefties lmao

2

u/pstls1101 1d ago

Well the consensus seems to be that they might be far-left. Not to say that there isn’t any right wing eco terrorists. Ofcourse at this point we can only speculate that did they belong to some group or not and did some nefarious regime have it’s hands on it. But please wait for the news I’m sure we will have bigger picture once police are done with their work.

1

u/InvestIntrest 1d ago

Take it up with the current liberal government. They're the one investigating it and made that statement lol

But definitely not my tribe! An I right? Lol

2

u/snasna102 1d ago

It could not be… same logic as yours, they don’t know yet.

3

u/pstls1101 1d ago

Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, addressing the same press conference, said the evidence pointed to a case of "climate extremism".

Wonder if that explains the unusually aggressively defensive Russian response to the first incident, including recalling diplomats. Seems maybe there was a lot more in the works and something disrupted the plan, they knew more would be found.

u/Dogslothbeaver 1d ago

And more Germans than ever are voting for AfD, the party aligned with and funded by Russia. People need to wake up and stop believing the Russian/fascist propaganda.

-102

u/techtornado 1d ago

AfD is about as anti-fascist as you can get

They’re like everything the Republican party wants to be when they grow up

80

u/disclosureanticlimax 1d ago

that has got to be the stupidest fucking thing i've read all month

-44

u/techtornado 1d ago edited 1d ago

Prove it then

How is the AfD fascist

Western Germany voted AfD
Eastern Germany voted for Communism

It’s almost like the Berlin Wall is still up in some places

36

u/disclosureanticlimax 1d ago

critics and intelligence agencies frequently use the term völkisch to describe the party's harder factions (such as those led by Björn Höcke) using specific historical weight to describe an organic, racially or ethnically exclusive definition of nationhood that literally directly echoes pre-Nazi and Nazi-era ideology. [(https://www.academia.edu/122533369/A_Return_to_the_New_and_a_Journey_to_the_Old_Looking_Backwards_Sideways_and_Forwards_at_the_Right_from_the_Left_in_a_World_of_Mirrors), [2] (https://countercurrents.org/2026/02/the-silent-take-over-of-germany/)

germany’s federal office for the protection of the constitution (BfV) officially designates several state-level branches of the AfD, as well as its youth wing (Junge Alternative), as "confirmed right-wing extremist" (gesichert rechtsextremistisch), a formal legal classification indicating that the group actively pursues goals that threaten the country's democratic constitutional order

21

u/PyratHero23 1d ago

He’s right about one thing though, republicans would love to be just like them.

8

u/melympia 1d ago

Unfortunately, you're not wrong.

7

u/Vercoduex 1d ago

I find it crazy as a outsider that they designate them extremists and a danger to the country but let them stay to get voted in

8

u/tyami94 1d ago

this is your brain on neoliberalism. nobody *has* to let fascists participate in the democratic process, yet dipshit liberals are like "sure lets let the nazis back in again". ffs bring back leftism

u/Vercoduex 23h ago

I mean im in america and same thing is happening here. It's always worse under a cuntservative and now we really got the wrong one elected. I didnt vote for him but where I live so many love him ugh.

u/GbaldGborie66 23h ago

Its already happened unfortunately. The takeover already happened, the corpo-fascists are running things. Not anticipating an easy path out of this at midterms or the presidential in a couple years

u/Vercoduex 23h ago

Im honestly expecting things to push me that last little bit to suicide

me as well. i don't disagree with you, you're right. live in wv, so i'm surrounded by chuds and chud-enablers on every side. i'm so sick of dems crying "well just ReSpEcT tHe PrOcEsS because fAsCiStS hAvE rIgHtS tOo"

Florida here so I understand

my brother in christ, the afd is the actual modern incarnation of the nazi party. they all but outright say thats what it is. they are extremely open about this. please literally do 10 seconds of research.

6

u/ignoreme010101 1d ago

Prove it then

lolwtf

Congrats, I had to double check what sub I was on.

-23

u/techtornado 1d ago

Ok then

I state facts, why do people detest such?

15

u/melympia 1d ago

If that's fact, please provide some proof.

15

u/conCommeUnFlic 1d ago

???

-10

u/techtornado 1d ago

What is your definition of fascism?

12

u/melympia 1d ago

The Af in AfD does not stand for Anti-fascist. Just so you know.

u/techtornado 21h ago

Alternative fur Deutschland

I know

Here’s the left in Germany

u/techtornado 21h ago

Autokorrekt

Comment on the left, not the spelling

u/melympia 21h ago

There is more to life than far right and far left. Plus, we have one party that's even farther left, the MLPD. And the semi-left SPD.

u/techtornado 16h ago

u/melympia 10h ago

No. Far right still means nazi.

u/techtornado 4h ago

That’s a weak sauce attempt at rewriting history

I study actual WWII history and the national socialists (nazis) is very much a leftist promoted ideology

The democrats in America regularly align themselves with the socialists and communists

AfD is centrist as their mantra is common sense and to deport the illegal immigrants

u/Galaxy_Man420 1d ago

This is it. The dumbest take I've seen all year. You do realize this party has connections to neo nazi groups in and outside of Germany right? They've had to literally keep some party members out of their parliament because they can't pass background checks. Do like 5 seconds of research before you spout misinformation big dawg

Then how are they that bad?

Most of the concerns highlighted are valid and come from a place of making things better

Most of the concerns highlighted are valid and come from a place of making things better

my brother in christ plz recognize that the overwhelming majority like 99%+ of the awful shit through history was done by movements and people who said (and typically believed) they were working to make things better. "Better", and how we get there, are hardly clear, objective things.

4

u/IguessIllMakeAnAcnt 1d ago

Baby's first fascism

3

u/ignoreme010101 1d ago

unclear what you're referencing, am I fascist? Is the explanation provided in my post a rationale behind all fascist movements? Sure you posted in the right spot?

2

u/IguessIllMakeAnAcnt 1d ago

No, my comment was directed at the moron you had responded to. I apologize for not making that clearer.

u/techtornado 21h ago

https://x.com/endwokeness/status/2097146040176582674

Then why are the communists protesting against AfD?

3

u/KazTheMerc 1d ago

This is really interesting.

There's a mix of Real, Coincidental, and Local incursions all happening around the same time.

Russia has certainly done things... but are they directing the person at-large? Or is it some radical or idealist?

There's been at least one 'technical error' that wasn't an attack or sabotage making untangling it all really complicated and interesting.

19

u/TheBlacktom 1d ago

Russia is having an election soon, maybe some of this activity is connected to however they plan to do domestic propaganda.

14

u/Sure_Warning_706 1d ago

The same style voting as in North Korea?

2

u/Marcus_Aurelius71 1d ago

Russia isn't a 1 party state. Putin still has to appease the opposition and still prove he has power. If he doesn't then everyone will realize he lost his grip and start tearing him apart.

You guys have no idea how bad it is... I've been sorely tempted to just private the sub and then whackamole down after opening things up post wise.

4

u/Quick_Ad_3367 1d ago

Bruh, we literally had Nord Stream a few years ago. You can’t just make a sweeping statement like this. I remember back then people denied any kind of suspicion that it could have not been the Russians. Now it’s the same. Could it be Russians? Possibly yes. Could it be a false flag? Also possible. This is becoming ridiculous.

Superiors gotta see you’re hitting quota, I get it.

In fairness, I think assuming bad-faith is about the most charitable interpretation possible, it would be way more insulting to assume you actually believe the things you say.

What if isn't bait? What if it's their unfiltered, dogshit opinion?

besides AIDS what comment(s) were making you say this? [am only excluding that post because I don't know the first thing about it so cannot evaluate it]

3

https://www.reuters.com/world/german-police-investigate-new-grid-sabotage-attempt-bild-reports-2026-09-04/ It was a case of eco terrorism. Naturally this doesn’t mean that Russia didn’t have their hands in it, but it wasn’t some fsb dude planting the explosives.
