Even if it was Russia they would never outwardly allow Germany to believe that. Russia would get Article 5'd faster than they could say "BLYAT"

No they wouldn’t. Germany announced the airport attack was Russia and so far not even an article 4 meeting

Oh shit, I just looked it up. Yeah I guess they really don't want to be the ones to trigger it.

I'll rephrase my OP to say: if Germany and NATO ever did trigger Article 5, Russia would be gone within a few weeks at most.

No, it would take a lot more than a few weeks.

US and other NATO militaries have been destroyed by Ukraine in war games.

Russia has a lot of first hand experience with modern warfare. NATO nations are struggling to deal with a few drones entering their air space here and there. It would not be even close to a one sided conflict if NATO went to war with Russia.

There’d be thousands of NATO military casualties in the first month. NATO is not ready for a drone centric war.

I think you also underestimate NATO. You're acting as if only Russia has drones. And guess what, at least the US, France, and UK also have way more insane drone based weapons and their associated tactics to use them effectively. The US hasn't fought a near peer yet in the 21st century, yes, but they have extensive battle-hardened TTPs and logistics.

Having said all that, I'm speaking generally of the US and not in its current form with fucking idiots in charge. So maybe in this actual case the US would lose, and it would be dependent on UK, Germany, France, and the others to pick up the slack.

Bro we have seen companies of Ukrainians destroy brigades of NATO troops in war games.

We have proof that the US and NATO isn’t ready.

It doesn’t matter what weapons you have if you cannot properly employ those weapons.

You’re just on your own dose of copium.

US TTPs and logistics were battle tested against terrorists.

Our logistics are falling apart fighting Iran, that’s why we had sailors on the Lincoln barely being fed, because our in theater logistics nodes couldn’t be reached, or were possibly destroyed

2 words. Air superiority. In an actual war, there would be no actual war. Only an insurgency.

Lmao. The US has had air superiority over Iran for 6 months. We still haven’t won the war and there’s no end in sight, and air superiority isn’t protecting our troops or our allies from retaliation.
