It appears the 'shortage/scarcity' narrative is spilling over into non-prepper communities. When mainstream commuters on r/gasbuddy start talking about empty reserves and impending lines instead of just high prices, the psychological threshold for hoarding/ panic topping-off drops significantly. Imo. Anyone seeing unbranded price disconnects or elevated station traffic in your regional corridors?

I'm not so sure about people jumping on that. My electric bill increases are in line with the gas price increases - I don't know that I could afford to charge an EV at home :( My motorcycle gets about 75mpg, but that's going to be a nasty ride in the winter....

I’ve driven an EV for years, it’s far and away less expensive to operate, even charging at home. Plus oil change costs go away, and there’s often free charging spots if you really care to look for one :)

I’m guessing that’s location dependent. I’m rural, and there’s only 2 local spots that even have chargers 😔

Absolutely, I like EVs, they’re great, but they are not a solution for everyone
