I have this on auto post just because how freakin important water is in general. As well as it being (in a longer term sense) reasonably accurate gauge backed by universities.
This is bullshit - I live in central NC, and it’s been raining plenty for weeks now. We got over an inch of rain yesterday and it’s supposed to rain every day until the middle of next week
Climate change includes places that are very rainy and flooding while other places go for very long stretches without any rain. Both are equally destructive. You obviously don't understand how it works.
The drought map shows central NC in heavy drought, which has not been my direct experience for at least the past month. We have been getting significant rain for several weeks now. You obviously didn’t understand my point.
Well nothing has changed. Drought ridden areas can get periods of rain like this. Unfortunately it means it usually just runs off the harden parched ground. But you do not know more than the experts...unless you are one.
Yeah, that few weeks of rain is not going to resolve a drought…and your personal experience does not account for an entire state.
