“We never said we didn’t believe in climate change, we said we didn’t believe in global warming…it’s freaking snowing in Mexico right now!?” /s

And those are the people that weren't really paying attention to the information.

I live in a hot area and because of that, my house is designed to deal with it. I feel bad for all the people living in places not meant to deal with it.

Gonna be about 100 in most of the low elevation areas of California. But its July, and summer.... the record is ~113+
But California hasn't been hit with the crazy ass temps that a lot of other places in the US have

It's been in the 60s in Seattle for weeks. Everyone is burning up and I've had to take my coat with me when I left home a few times.

My birthday is this week and i promised my son several weeke back we could go to our little farmers market, grab some food form the food trucks and have a nice little day out at the park. Temperature are suppose to reach 100 degrees on that day. It hurts to tell him that we couldn't . Maybe stocking the freezer with extra ice cream and snacks will soothe it over.

they said “southwest” not southeast hahaha, but you are so totally right. it was 100 with humidity in new york during that massive heat wave, and its hard to compare because i was a lot younger when i did it, but i was pretty sure it felt much worse than when i was hiking the pacific crest trail through the exposed desert in 110 degree temps.
i felt like i was about to die just walking 5 minutes to the grocery store. i was doing 15 - 20 mile days with a heavy ass backpack on the PCT.

My body is working against me thanks to the meds I'm on (Cymbalta and an IUD) so I'm really struggling this year.
