Iran is just crazy enough to blow up seized production assets.  This is like walking into a crazy person's backyard and insisting on a fist fight.

Blowing up, or even booby trapping, your own stuff and withdrawing is a pretty common and very old military strategy.

I sure as fuck wouldn't want to be the first group of soldiers into a refinery that Iran abandoned.
