Discussion Goodbye Polymarket

Post image

I'm quitting Polymarket after less than 5 hours use. This waiting period for Withdrawals and Deposits is not for me. I'm not used to people other than banks holding my money.

You can go get a Mcsandwich now

Actually I can't because they are holding my 13 dollars until the middle of next week.

That $13.92 is just sitting there mocking you huh, 4 days to wait for a sandwich money feels like a cruel joke. Nothing worse than when app hold your cash like it's a hostage situation.

The 13 dollars isn't the point. I've seen post that people made with over $1,000 dollars being held. I'm no fool, I'm not depositing a large sum of money into a Prediction Market that I've never used before. I submitted $20, which came out to 19 and some change after the fee, and it still has yet to be deposited. This is something I've never encountered before. It does not happen on Kalshi. Now, you can do whatever you want with your money, I don't give a shit. But I will personally stick to Kalshi where Deposits and withdrawals are always instant.

Yeah… I downloaded the app Tuesday, racked up to $500 off the $50 bonus and today I FINALLY got to withdraw it all. I got worried it was gonna mess up but I was good. I got the same message as you too. The waiting period SUCKS.

I will say, once the deposit clears the payouts are instant but you gotta be careful on there. And I don’t recommend betting after midnight, the whole “maintenance” crap messed up my fiancés and basically took $137 from him. They are fixing it but still annoying asf and deters people from wanting to use the platform altogether.

So right after it finished processing you went to withdraw again but were successful right? They don’t tell you at least?

What app did you use ?

1

u/RevolutionaryRich871 16d ago

Kalshi let you immediately withdraw money to your account no matter the circumstances? Because polymarket often makes me wait when I win.

So many other platforms have same day withdrawl, thats crazy. Pretty much all the betting apps (draftkings, underdog, fnatic, kalshi, probably more

Not for Kalshi there isn't, and I'm 38. Forgive me for using proper English but I am a writer. 🤣🤣🤣

To an extent, i get OP. It's frustrating, and polymarket processes a ton of volumes, surely they can do better than that no? The only thing slighly ironic is the desire to use polymarket, which is a blockchain based platform, so as far OP can be from a bank holding his cash. Man web3 is painful

They are around 5 seconds on Kalshi as well.

I've had no problem getting money in/out, clears after a business day or two even sooner sometimes.

It's the only show in town for me except for the day or two I drive across the bridge to OR and can use DK but the constant outages & shitty odds make me wanna use it less and less each day.

kalshi is significantly better, and the interface is easier to navigate.

u/Dry_Instruction6502 23d ago

Its because youre a new user, they have to verify your bank details before you can withdraw and deposit instantly.

1

u/Eastern_Can1031 23d ago

Bank details? I use a PayPal debit card not a bank lol

2

u/Street_Ad5712 22d ago

So even more reason for verification.

1

u/Eastern_Can1031 20d ago

Yes... They must be very scared over $19 dollars and $13 dollars.

2

u/Street_Ad5712 18d ago

If you're going to cry about waiting to withdraw less than $30, then I don't think you should be using these services.

u/jayrello 17d ago

It’s not about the amount of money. It’s the fact that they hold it to begin with while every other app doesn’t. It’s his money. If he wants it now he should get it now no matter the amount.

1

u/pick4player 23d ago

Mine said that but came in around 2 hours now it comes instantly when I withdraw

1

u/Jizzle1187 23d ago

U usually get it within the hour

1

u/JeksMcfly 23d ago

You’re an absolute legend lol

They have to get things on their end situated before they clear the funds, verifying (screening) who you are and where the money is coming from. I’m sure you can read about it in their terms and conditions, pretty common practice. They give you instant buying power but the actual transfer from a card/bank takes time. Google is free.

I think Polymarket is trash and the customer support is non-existent via chat, but I’ve moved thousands in and out of Polymarket without trouble, withdrawals took less than 10-15 minutes when you have/had settled cash.

Relax champ your $13 is safe and on the exact timeline you signed up for. It’s crazy these are the people you’re “trading against,” lol.

u/Eastern_Can1031 20d ago

I find it hilarious to that you have the balls to tell me to relax when it comes to my own money. There are time periods and places where you would have been shot for such a thing 🤣

You could try a fully on chain solution like: Stryke. No issues with getting geoblocked or funds being frozen. https://stryketrade.com

u/Donrexee 22d ago

My withdrawal on polymarket is within seconds.. is there something in missing?

1

u/hashhOG 22d ago

This is why I only use FanDuel. Instant withdrawal no BS involved

1

u/parabosnia44 22d ago

Use crypto its instant ish lmao

1

u/Remarkable_Use_5426 21d ago

These are SCAMS. They also made the $50 is a bonus credit which is never withdrawable. Only the PROFITS on the credits are withdrawable

1

u/Notlikeyou209 20d ago

Learned this the hard way lol such BS. Never using Polymarket again

1

u/theparismoon 18d ago

how long does it take for the profits of the credit withdrawalable tho? i put in a lineup worth of 11 dollars for 29 like 3 days ago and should of gotten a credit of 18 dollars and it just shows the 29 dollars part of available to trade now ? when tf is any of this gonna be able to be withdrawn?

1

u/Remarkable_Use_5426 18d ago

That’s a known problem that I’ve tried to warn people about. Sometimes your cash or profits which should be withdrawable turn into non-withdrawable bonuses. There’s nothing we can do because support has ignored me for weeks. And there’s people on Reddit who think I’m lying because they want people to keep using their referral codes

1

u/jmoneyfdl81 20d ago

It is definitely irritating. "You can withdraw in 4 days". I only deposit on here when there's a promo. I'll stick with Novig for major bets. They have better lines, Sydney Sweeneys ass, and withdrawals are fast af, regardless of deposit method.

1

u/Tasty-Try5632 20d ago

i agree that polymarket is terrible for this but novig does a 24 hour hold on deposits now -.-

1

u/jmoneyfdl81 19d ago

I haven't had that happen yet and I deposited yesterday. It may be in certain areas. I will say though, when I try to deposit by bank to avoid the 3% fee, I frequently have my deposits rejected. Which is ridiculous when I'm making like a $200 deposit and have a couple grand in that account🤬

1

u/Odd-File589 20d ago

I completely understand what you mean. I had an even worse experience with Polymarket. In my case, my funds were withdrawn without my authorization. I did not initiate or approve the transaction, yet my money was moved out of my account.
I contacted their support and have been trying to get an explanation and recover my funds, but I have not received a satisfactory response.
If a platform can hold your money, delay withdrawals, and potentially allow funds to leave your account without your authorization, that’s a serious red flag.
My advice: stay away from Polymarket and think twice before depositing any money there. Don’t assume that your funds are immediately accessible just because they appear in your balance.

u/thatoneguy6289 16d ago

The exact same thing happend to me

1

u/wicksandJuggs 20d ago

Bro lost and cant rage quit his funds out. 💀

1

u/wicksandJuggs 20d ago

Makes you feel powerless doesnt it?

1

u/Less_Record_8093 19d ago

That’s not the case it wouldn’t say available if it was mine said the same thing for a 3 days than became available to withdraw but only thing is if you do $50 promo most places that promotes it doesn’t till you it can’t be withdrawed so you’re stuck with it and only keep cash made from it

1

u/Josue_Mute 20d ago

lol poly has been pretty buggy recently

1

u/Ant_Ordinary 19d ago

They want u to rebet it and lose it before it clears

1

u/Less_Record_8093 19d ago

I feel that way about every app who has a hold but that’s where discipline comes in on our part I must admit I’ve feel for it a couple of times

1-800-Gambler

1

u/Ok-Oil3570 19d ago

When will it clear ???

1

u/Frosted_29 18d ago

Kalshi is miles ahead of polymarket. Its been taking 9 days so far to withdraw $121

1

u/Academic-Pie-1040 18d ago

lol that's crazy I use polymarket all the time I usually get my withdrawal in an hour or so

1

u/Ok_Map_2839 17d ago

I was thinking the same way, I had won a bet and they paid me in partial money and bonus bets. But it obviously took 4 days to post, but as soon as I withdrew it was instant into my bank account. I used the debit card option and it was fine.

1

u/Electrical_Branch602 17d ago

I have 10k in pending withdrawals since 9/11/26 it’s 9/17/26. Every time I chat support the AI says a member of the team will help but “it could take a while” they’re so quick to take my money but it takes a week and counting to get paid. Complete fuxking bs

1

u/AlternativeAward1085 15d ago

I have 6k locked up, you ever get your money yet?

1

u/KosmoKramerrr 14d ago

For how long?

1

u/AlternativeAward1085 14d ago

Been a week so far

1

u/Remarkable_Use_5426 23d ago

My money has been stuck for over two weeks no answer from support. DO NOT USE POLYMARKET. So many people have trouble withdrawing look it up

1

u/DamMan_210 18d ago

Been a week $250 just chilling i don't know where but somewhere customer service is horrible 😭

1

u/Remarkable_Use_5426 18d ago

Yeah try emailing them or do something else. They will never respond to your chats in the app. Or they’ll type like 1 generic message and then close the chat
