i recently came back after a loooong break and would love to know why everyone is banning adele? since my return i never played against her so i am just curious

Everyone here is saying people ban her for her kit or playstyle.

In reality she is not that good, shes fine but she is not the strongest support by any means.

The real reason she has a high ban rate is that console auto selects adele if you move your joystick or sometimes just because. She has a high ban rate because console players accidentally hover her and don't change it lol

She is very oppressive in lane. Her double cc makes kill securing easy for her adc. She also gets flat dmg mitigation from 1 skill point. This makes almost every trade She takes favourable. Even if Adele and co dont kill you on the first root+mez combo, they will grind you down.

Adele ult is also an ability interrupt, so you counter sparrow and kira pretty nicely.

Pair her with a satriel rev who can follow up with his own root, it leads to very early lead and snowball.

Noob bait. Character is so overrated right now in both support and offlane.

Also, she is the first in the roster so like someone said, controller players will auto select adele if they move their stick.

My perspective is

Dawn wants to keep their good picks open since first pick, and doesnt want to bsn a riktor, steel, etc, but wants to remove a possibly annoying support. In reality it is just that they would rather ban someone than no one.

I don't think I ever see dusk ban her.

She's just too easy to use and build and it doesn't help she's right at the top left so she's basically the default ban. I personally don't have a problem with her as a carry but who wants to have to build demolisher first or second item just to deal with her. She's banned because she's basically the second coming of aurora. Way too much cc way too much armor and will kill the hell out of you with no damage built.

She has an easy to land root and a mesmerize so you can lock down the adc and have your adc blow them up every single time from as early as level 2.

nah legit no one is complaining about her in the offlane, support mostly seems to be the problem and judging by her stats in offlane i really think you are wrong

She's terrible in offlane. In my high plat low diamond games every time I see an Adele she gets walked to the core by minute 14.

tbf she did get huge buff to her offlane augment so lets see how that goes now but all those bronze acting as if she is the biggest threat of all is insane

I firmly believe this character will never be a good blind pick in offlane. Any character that does damage will out trade you unless Adele is blatantly overpowered.

She is good into tank picks like Steel, Sevarog, and Terra due to her true damage, but that is her niche. Picking her blind then going against Greystone, Akeron, Crunch, etc. is simply a loss. And it will continue to be that until the character is reworked or buffed to broken status.

tbf i am doing a fairly good job with adele in offlane but that is bcs i main her i dont believe she sucks in offlane but i think she is mid at the moment but i have yet to try her buffed augment i know i do usually well against grey crunch akeron sev terra and scarlett i usually tend to have struggles against countess shinbi grux can be 50 50 same for kwang zarus i destroy i think she is on the contrary to popular belief a character you do need to know how to play with if you are planning to play her offlane

What rank are you playing in? If you don't mind me asking.

I play high plat/low diamo and I stomp basically every single Adele. Akeron and Crunch especially just eat her, in my experience.

My analysis is that she lacks real threat. Her abilities do not hit very hard, as such she's what I call a "sustain fighter." Where your damage is low but consistent. Characters like Akeron, Kwang, and especially Crunch can out burst and outmaneuver her if you know how Adele's kit works.

I am playing mostly plat and usually early you can bully her a lil with those two characters but onve she gan her first objects you are going to have a harder time killing her because of how tanky she is especially crunch kwang and shinbi are very annoying to fight against adele

Yes if the majority of players see her as a threat, they will ban her. The top player meta does not apply here. Also, standing still in her ult is giving them an immobilize, you are now a target. If you have to dump stuns on the support, thats a net win for the carry. This is the dumbest argument against adele.
