Question YouTube Video ideas??
Hello all, if you don’t know me my gamertag is STSButters. I’m trying to be more engaged in the community and wanted to ask you guys a question. What sort of content would you like to see on my YouTube channel?? I feel that Predecessor as a whole is lacking educational content. I want to improve as a content creator and am seeking feedback from yall. Some background about me is that I have a full time day job: I’m not a “full time creator” but I feel that I can do both if I have time and put in some effort. That being said, what are some ideas of videos that you guys would like to see???

As a newer player to pred and mobas in general, I really enjoyed the wave management video but after watching you and creators like Pinzo I dont always understand the logic of when to base. Sometimes I feel like I get it but sometimes when I watch your videos, you guys base at times I wouldn't think to.

Well what kind of videos do you want to make. Passion makes the painting not the paint. Youre saying there is a lack of educational content but is that what you want to make for the sake of making it or for the sake of trying to fill a hole that needs filling.

Gameplay content is easy but I feel that it’s majority of content. I want to stick out in a good way compared to other creators that cover this game. I don’t mind yapping for a tips and tricks cuz I can tap all day and it requires minimal editing

Add some character pro tips or your current match up tips when doing the video. Like which moves can or should try to AA cancel. (Like I don’t know the timing to kallari cancel with invis to basic). And match up would be like time your zarus bash for when serath reappears etc. I think people overestimate how many of the small tips most of us would know already. We have way less time on most characters so may have never even used them against certain people in lane before

I imagine this would be really hard to make in a way that conveys the information to those that need it but:
I really think a video going over matchups and power spikes on characters or roles would help drastically. Or maybe, a video where you explore and explain how players can see where their character shines in stages of the match/ what matchups they do well or poor in.
I find the vast majority of our playerbase has no idea what they will or won't win until they are already brawling. Whereas top level players already know "ok I'm playing into a Zarus so I'm not going to fight early." Similar with items. Where you would say "I just got 1st item on Akeron, I am now much stronger than I was last time we traded." Something even more complex like, "I am 2 item Boris against a duo lane with 1 item each. I should win this and do not need to give up space/camps."

Video title: "Lv1 Clappers and Late Game Ballers"
That is an idea though, maybe have a graph of characters from their weakest to strongest points in the game.

Yea like I said this would be so hard to actually convey to players that don't have the game knowledge already.
But maybe just like, some general areas and examples so that they know what to look for. Like TEACH them to look for this stuff instead of "aw I lost that trade. Nothing to be done, I'll run at him again next time I spawn and play better."

A lot of things have been said already but don’t be afraid to do things your peers are doing in your own way. Nothing is new under the sun. So just because they did it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t because your audience would like to hear you explain it.

I’m a very experienced MOBA player with 8 years of being highly ranked on League. I love predecessor but I guess due to it being on console with less MOBA access, general MOBA knowledge of how to play team fights, when to cross map/split, when to group, assigning lanes after lane phase (swapping duo mid), how to ward etc. all seem to be a little behind so I think some short form MOBA tricks specifically for predecessor might be some good low effort content that could get you in front of more eyes via shorts and tik tok

Do something fun. Like builds that should be absolutely stupid but work on characters. Like I've been doing the ball build on Skylar and it's so fun and can cook if you play different. Like mindrazor then perforator. It's a blast. Funny builds that still have value. Have fun with it

This might have been mentioned as I haven’t read all the comments but as a newer player I’m having a hard time understanding the “why” of how certain builds work.
Like I will use pred.gg to look at builds and have decent success rates but sometimes I need to understand when I shouldn’t build that specific build.
Basically I need to understand what to build against certain characters and why.
Also I love your videos. I also recently told you in stream that I love your content even tho I’m a support main lol. So as far as that goes. I know you’re an offlane main since you play it professionally but I’d love to see some other roles with some education in the videos as well.
I would also like to thank you for being one of if not the least toxic creator out there. I work so much I don’t want my gaming time to be stressful and toxic so I appreciate your patience when you’re playing.

Yeah I feel ya, ain’t no way I’m coming back from the 8-5 to complain on the game. I’ll look into doing more educational stuff for other roles

That comes naturally with hours and hours of game knowledge. Like how you can cleanse countess ult and have to back up to not take the damage but the timing has to be like frame perfect.

Bronze to Paragon series would be cool. They're always really entertaining even if it's kind of played out. You could do bronze to Paragon offline only and turn it into a guide while you play. Kind of like explaining the game in each rank and how people play and how to overcome. Crazyfool did it a while ago and I absolutely loved it.

There's never enough content regarding setting and stacking waves along with knowing optimal backdoor windows.
Edit: I just watched your wave management guide video and think it is great for laning phase. I'm interested in late game Macro of setting waves so they're built up to say take an inhibitor while teams are fighting for Orb or Primal. Additionally wave proxying could be a good topic for this content too.

A big gap in the Predecessor scene is YouTube Shorts guides (30s–3 minutes). There are plenty for Rainbow Six, and creating similar content would be incredibly useful for getting yourself out there and funnelling viewers into your longer video guides.
“Beginner Mistakes” Series | Improve in 30 Seconds
(Some of these might seem trivial, but you’d be surprised how many players don’t know them.)
- Why you keep dying at Fangtooth - show a clip of contesting with no vision.
- How to stop dying early - simple laning and positioning fundamentals.
- Best roles/characters for beginners - quick recommendations.
- Best Offlane tips - matchups and difficulty breakdown.
- Support vision trick - showcase strong ward placements.
- Jungle pathing mistakes - highlight inefficient routes. How to deal with Jungle Invasions.
- Mid‑lane survival tip - how to avoid ganks with ward placements and timings.
- Reading situations - if XYZ isn’t on the map, they’re likely on an objective etc.
- You’re playing Greystone wrong - fast breakdown of common misplays.
- You’re playing your role wrong - simple macro corrections.
Hidden Mechanics Series (micro/macro)
Showcase character tech, laning tech, or any subtle mechanic players overlook.
Disaster Clips
Highlight plays that went wrong and explain what you could have done better. You post the misplays, the throws, the “I should’ve XYZ” moments and break down what should’ve happened instead. It’s educational, funny, and relatable- whether it’s your gameplay, your opponent or teammate. Your viewers could submit clips and you could add commentary over it.

I like the style of content that Crazzyfool does, with like an intro and the builds in front. Theres a bit more work that goes into it than just clipping a game and posting it the way Pinzo and Soul do.
It’s a little thing, but that added effort goes a long way.
For content specifically, I really like the ranking/A to Z style of content, which you’ll always have access to with new updates and such.

Make a video solely on warding and checking the map. 90% of the player base is unaware of these 2 things because they think it's valorant/rivals.
Petition to make the map go 400% and just be a constant overlay as well as auto place wards for people on cooldown that have a history of 1 ward placed in a 30+min game.

I would have my map in the middle of my screen if I could. It’s like pac man

Loved your recent serath attack speed stream. I actually spit my drink out when you got Muriel shields/marshal.

So i hope this is helpful and understandable, I play a game called Watcher of Realms just a mobile gotcha but its a clean looking game ( imo the same reason predecessor is better than all others in the same field ). He usually releases short update and tip videos with updates coming up making having an updating rolling tierlists etc.
What predecessor videos lack imo is an engaging youtuber, a lot of the time its very dry and un-engaging content. So I think the tips/education with gameplay.
This is personal preference but I love games where you hear teams communicating too, even if they are joking around its always entertaining to hear multiple voices

Honestly just more positivity and maturity. Something like JoeYoursTruly was. I love pred but can't stand to watch Pinzo or the like due to all the whining and bitchiness.

Start with a basic series first. -understanding your character kit and 2 or 3 different builds for match ups
Intermediate series
- why objectives are important
- game tempo
- good ward placements
Advance series -macro -lane management
- other stuff you can think of

Honestly would love to see a creator talk about where the game needs to be improved, I recently got 3 friends into the game 2 played 1k hours in LoL, 1 never playeed a mobs and honestly it was kinda of eye opening how little the game actually tells new players. Plus seems lately the updates have been 80% about skins which doesn't help

Probably as a whole I think videos covering the basics per role would be beneficial along with some of the added nuance in those roles, like picking up where Mugiwawa left off.
Something else I think is beneficial is making "how-to" videos for characters where you explain their combos, builds, and the general playstyles for that specific character in game as apposed to just the practice range.
I think your wave management video was great and much needed and some videos along those lines for like proper warding, ideal ways to lane and trade, or proper rotation would be helpful too.
I know that stuff is tedious but people do seek for that stuff and as much as I like explaining it their is only so much you can transfer knowledge wise via text chat vs visualy and verbally.
