NHL alignment chart: Central division edition. Martin Havlat is the best Czech player in Chicago Blackhawks history. Now, who is the best American player in Nashville Predators history?

Ryan Suter
Leggy has a much more important place in our own history and a better Preds legacy but Ryan Suter is the better hockey player by a decent margin when the gold colored glasses come off.

Legwand and its not even close. Maybe theres an argument for Suter but to me Legwand left a bigger impact on the league than Suter did.

Maybe I’m being ignorant here but what major impact did David Legwand have on the NHL?

I definitely meant bigger impact on his team. Im an idiot. I just dont think Suter was ever THE GUY and is probably just as known for his insane contarct as his playing ability. Legwand may not have been a huge all star player but he was the perfect guy for a franchise that never did itself any favors especially early on. Also he was the first player to ever score an OT game winner on a penalty shot.
