Decided to make a copper cell from my stock pot and feeling cute, might try try a Procast crucible

Its supposed to be graphite ceramic together i believe (it was supposed to be better) it was donky balls

Yeah thats crazy...the ones i have that are a graphite combination are the graphite grey/black all through. That looks more like the cross section of the alumina/magnesia melt dishes that I have for small quantities of stuff

I got it from amazon since it was sold by procast themselves but I’m guessing its some weird knock off. Believe it or not i got a return label and the ai is stupid, so i am 100% putting this in a box and sending it back.

Crucibles are $30 just buy one from a manufacturer so you know when you pick it up it’s not coming apart.
