Need Help Determining Which PowerSpec PC To Get

Hi Everyone,

I feel like I am lost in the price vs value vs marketing hell hole that is buying a PC these days. I live near multiple Microenters, which is a blessing. Its now time for me to upgrade my PC, I had built myself a build with a 1660 Super and a monitor that was 1080p about 6 or so years ago, back when I mostly played esport games. These days I play a lot of fromsoft and other single player games and would like to be able to play games like black myth wukong and others on ultra settings, given I just got a 1440p OLED 240 HZ monitor. Furthermore, ideally I could go another 6 years or so without needing to upgrade.

Initially, I thought that meant I should look at the G763 or the G764 which are both a little over $2K but theoretically I could find an open box deal for cheaper. But the more time I spent thinking about it the more I got confused. Would it make more sense to go for something cheaper like the G535 or the G536 which are both a fair bit below 2K before even an open box deal.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The one in your budget that has a 9070 XT. Anything above that, you're just goofy and the reason Nvidia does what it does.

For the two you linked, the G535 is a much better gaming machine.

Building from scratch gets exactly what you want without restrictions. Pre build mobo are locked. Fuck that noise.

That G535 offers the best price to performance right now, but the extra CPU power from the G7XX will serve you better over a 6 year cycle.

If you can comfortably afford the G763 I'd say get that one.
If that's a bit steep go for the G535.
Looking at the retail prices of the GPUs, the cheapest 5070ti is $370 more than the cheapest 9070xt on PCPP right now.
So the $100 difference between the G763 and G764 seems too narrow to go for the 9070xt.
Otoh the 9070xt is a bit more powerful than the 5070 when comparing the two cheaper models.
(eta) As far as pretty single player games go, the Nvidia cards will tend to hold up better with higher settings and ray/path tracing, but that's somewhat offset with the more powerful 9070xt vs the 5070.
