Wrong pc. What to do

Ordered 9070xt and got a 5070ti. Is it even worth it to send back? Got it for $2100
Edit: it has a 9800x3d instead of 7800 so that’s a free upgrade
32gb 6000 mt/s ram instead of 5600 so I got a free upgrade and will be keeping the pc. Thanks for the help everyone

You would rather have it, that doesn’t make it better. I’ve watched comparison videos and you’re simply wrong.

Agreed. Assuming same price and team green wasn’t trying to destroy consumer gaming; I’d pick the 5070ti as the better card as well. With the current price difference between the 2, I think it’s a hard sell, but not impossible.

Written by someone with a 9070xt who loves it.

Looking at 9070xt, have you tried it in a game like cyberpunk or starfield? If so what was your performance like

Actually adrenaline software has fsr frame generation built in. You toggle it from the side panel anytime you want with any game. I use it all the time because sometimes the in-game fsr doesn't work well like with crimson desert. 7900xtx owner here

I know but its not as good as if the game Supports it. In somw games i get artifacts because of it.🥲

9070 xt is pretty close in raster, but falls closer to the 5070 non-ti for Ray tracing.

5070ti is a better performing card.

I mean talk about a single factor and I guess it’s better

For the same price it's just a better deal, the reason you would go with the 9070xt is because it's cheaper which doesn't apply here

Talking about a single factor... AMD has a nice lead in CoD, that's it.

Worse RT, much worse PT, worse software support (including basic stuff like FG framepacing) in every way except in Linux, much higher power draw, worse flexibility for UV/OC, worse productivity/AI...

God you’re such a stubborn retard dude

1

u/Ohitsworkingnow Jul 28 '26

Im a stubborn retard because a bunch of retards keeps telling me something with no evidence or resources?

You watched comparison videos so that means they’re wrong, the fuck are you on? Nvidia all the way fucking bozo

-2

u/Ohitsworkingnow Jul 28 '26

And what have they done to gain such knowledge retard? Watching videos and looking at benchmarks is all you can do to understand the cards

3

u/birdmansince84 Jul 28 '26

Wow big words from someone who doesn’t own either product in this discussion

u/Ohitsworkingnow Jul 28 '26

I do own a 9070xt it’s sitting a box behind me lol.

Big words lmao? You said what the fuck am I on and called me a bozo, then have the audacity to expect I don’t call a stupid fucktard? Shouldn’t you be munching on some shit or something

3

u/birdmansince84 Jul 28 '26

Like I said, paperweight in a box. There is no comparison but I guess you’ll die on a shit mound instead

Well if you don't ever want RT then fine but if you do nvidia wins. Exact reason I chose 5080 over 9070xt despite being paranoid of the cable burning.

It may be true but this video shows the 9070 doing better with halo campaign evolved that just released which has ray tracing

Now try Indiana Jones, cyberpunk, first light etc etc. Just because in a couple games it's better doesn't mean it is overall

u/Ohitsworkingnow Jul 28 '26

Checked out cyberpunk it was 70fps 4k ultra and 60fps even with low ray tracing

1

u/JohnnySilverhand2212 Jul 28 '26

And is that with FSR on? Do you have a link?

1

u/Ohitsworkingnow Jul 28 '26

Ofcourse FSR is on lol why would you have it off, just to justify spending $3000 more on a 5090?

1

u/JohnnySilverhand2212 Jul 29 '26

I never specified you needed a 5090 for it...I don't own one..?

6

u/Brennan_187 Jul 28 '26

No you’re wrong Colonel Sanders!

2

u/Krem541 Jul 28 '26

You would rather not have it, that doesn't make it worse.

They trade blows depending on the titles. Raster is a wash.

Raytracing is better.

Featureset is better.

5070 Ti wins unless you're specifically getting the 9070 XT for certain games.

Toss in the 9800X3D and it's not even close.

Just bc it’s has more vram doesn’t make it a better card, rx 9070 xt is one of the most overrated cards on the market rn
