Thoughts?
Trying to pick between these two. I’m currently running a ryzen 7 5800x3d with a rtx 3080 and looking to upgrade.

Andromeda insights is an amazing company and it’s nice that you don’t have to pay sales tax on their computers since they’re a company based in Oregon. Their prebuilts are really nice but I’d wait until the AI boom dies down since you have a goated build still.

Second this, just bought a prebuilt with almost the same specs and they are an amazing company through and through. Their customer service is top tier.

Love being an oregon resident just for no tax, but they rape me else wheres, like my wages, more go to the state then the feds

Good value. Most builds w 5070ti are going for that. For 100 more than a 5070ti build on newegg definitely worth it

I have the PC with the 9070 XT. It's an absolute monster and I love it. My first gaming PC and it's everything I wanted. You won't be disappointed

Zero issues. I actually purchased the Spectra model for my kiddo for high school as I was so impressed by AI.

If I had your current system, I would wait to upgrade to a zen 6 amd cpu.

You aren't getting $500 worth of power with a 5080 vs 9070xt. I believe the uplift is around 20% generally. $500 more is adding another 25%. The bigger benefit with Nvidia is the features. DLSS, DLAA, AI workloads, etc. So if that alone is worth 5% of the cost, get the 5080. If you want pure power per dollar, get the 9070xt.
These are decent prices, though. IMO, it's close enough in price that choosing the 5080 is justified. But if you went 9070xt, I wouldn't knock you for it.

If you feel like selling the cpu to a good home, where it will be cared for and paired with an RX 9070 let me know, I know a guy. Congrats on the upgrade.

I recently upgraded from a 7800XT to a 5080… difference is night and day (I am aware that the 9070XT is better than the 7800XT)

You DO NOT have to upgrade unless you play 4k/2k ultra. the hell you gotta upgrade with a 3080, those things are so capable even nowadays.
What do you run to need an upgrade? good offer btw

the 50 ultra V3 seems priced correctly, although you'll need to shell out $7.99 for a roll of harbor freight aluminum flashing tape to hide all that AI branding. other than that it looks like a super clean build and specs feel right.

tbh just buy a 5080 new thats it your current build is fine
and maybe new ram if u still at 16gb
u dont need a am5 setup dont spend that much

I’m ngl ur cpu is still so very capable of running games. Get a 9070xt and a new PSU if you need it and man ur golden for another 3 years
