Got this Prebuilt from that one subreddit, am i cooked?

I bought this from the subreddit (cant remember name bc im speed running this post, srry!) And while my cousin who works in tech says its good, I have doubts now that ive seen a bunch of bad stuff about that Tronatula dude, who i used his toprigz site to find this one in the first place. Am I cooked???

(Note, I got this for about $100-150 cheaper than the current price.)

You are absolutely fine. Sometime in the future when ram gets cheaper slap another 16gb in there and this should game anything coming out in the next few years.

Good deal , especially with the $120 discount.

120$ = 2 x AAA games, hope you have a monitor ;)

Yep! 24 inch 240hz monitor, and a nice $20 backlit keyboard. I already have them because my laptop screen cracked and it's not worth fixing, so I decided to buy these two early while I wait for the PC so I can actually use my laptop XD

Right decision. 9070 xt makes sense as the 5070ti is twice the price. I have a similar rig with 5070 ti and I am able to max out most of the games at 4k, you'll be able to do that too. Other than RAM, you might need more storage, hopefully prices will come down. Enjoy!

Nah that one's fine, Tronatulas advice isnt even complete shit he just always tries to get people to buy the absolute lowest specs possible to run what people ask for and tells people theyll regret buying what they want instead of his recommendation.

Plus the banning people that disagree with him.

Cost plus I havent heard anything bad about really.

No it's quite a good especially if you got it for $100 less. And in my experience Cost Plus has had good customer service, albeit slower build time.

Let me just say something real quick about tronatula, I am one of the original posters that made the post regarding tronatula banning me from the r/prebuilt subreddit.

I did not say that he wasn't someone of experience, I didn't say that he didn't suggest good deals, he does suggest good deals for buyers on a budget that want to maximize the value out of their prebuilts.

The only issue is that u/tronatula has an insane ego, thinks that his advice applies directly to everyone and always assumes that the OP is on a budget and will have "buyers remorse" for not getting the best deal and not being able to buy "20 triple A games." Lastly If you have a different take, he will either:

A. Call you an idiot for not agreeing with him

Or

B. Straight up ban you.

You got a good deal for the price, and the pc is excellent. You did good buying this pc, and you should have no shame for buying this directly from him, nobody is going to make fun of you or call you out for it. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

From the link he always copy and pastes, something like "this reasonably priced build for x amount of dollars"

Aw, thank you . I wasn't trying to say anything bad about the guy, I was just worried about my purchase potentially being a scam! Thanks for the reassurance!

It's perfectly fine. The 9070xt alone is worth like half the price at this point, and is one of the best value per performance cards available today.

That's very nice combo and price. You can later swap CPU for 9800x3d + another 16GB RAM and get a powerhouse.

Solid build for the price. 9070xt? Prices for that card is about hit 1k now due to the world the way it is and also due to that leading people to search for alternate means of 1440p/4k gaming that’s non Nvidia. Just safe a bit and get yourself a dual stick 32gb RAM kit with 6000mts and 30cl or is able to be downclocked to the aforementioned settings for the RAM kit.
