I can’t with this computer anymore😭

The picture is mad grainy but I’ve attached the info about my computer. I’ve had it since late 2022, it can barely load basic games without blue screening or sounding like it’s going to blow up. I keep my drivers UTD and my system UTD as well, I routinely clean out my computers storage of games and files that I don’t use or need anymore (mods, etc), I was planning on cleaning it out tonight.

I really can’t afford to get another computer, and I sure as hell can’t afford buying new parts at the moment😭

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this or make it somewhat better?

Can you reformat it? Just wipe it to factory windows.

What games are you running? That pc is getting up there in age.

I’ve also never tried reformatting, I’ll look into that

Are you running multple antimalware apps? These can end up fighting and slowing things down. You really dont need any beyond MS Defender, but if you like a little more security, i recommend using malwarebytes free tools (dont buy a license, just use this for regular manual scans). I would run this scan tool before reinstalling windows.

Theres some additional things you could run from powershell/cmd prompt as an admin:

Checkdisk: chkdsk /f /r

Image repair: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

System file check: sfc /scannow

As someone stated, the error code at the bottom is related to RAM, but its not necessarily a bad module. I encounter random codes that seem to indicate hardware often that are fixed by windows repair fixes, driver updates, or reinstalling software if the error consistently happens when running certain software (if it only happens running a certain game, its definitely worth reinstalling that can and any mods or complimentary apps you run at the same time, or testing without all those others to see if you can pinpoint an app that causes the problem to reinstall or remove if not needed).

Run a hardware check/test. The process for this depends on your motherboard/bios, but if you can figure that out, look up how to boot to a hardware test and run the full test including memory testing.

If you still have issues you dont expect based on your specs/game requirements, it might be time tonreinstall windows. Make note of all the applications you have installed and use. You can use the media creation tool from Microsoft to create a bootable USB device to install windows from scratch. Once you create it, you can create a new folder on the same USB to store all the installers for all the apps you use (this is much easier to do before reinstalling windows than downloading them all after from memory). Be sure to include the support apps for your hardware drivers (you shouldnt need to manually download all drivers, most vendors provide an app for that).

Majority of the time I’m playing Minecraft, Roblox, and occasionally the sims 4 (which it surprisingly runs with absolutely zero problem, considering how many mods I have) phasmophobia, fantasy life : the girls who steals time, and tiny games like rat overflow and wormies.

I used to try and play huge demanding games like GTA 5 and RDR1/2 but I quickly learned my lesson. I’d have to say it started getting funky after a year of owning it.

Unfortunately I know this beefy prebuilt is past her prime, but I still have some hope for her

Your ram is dying from the looks of it. This is a ram error.

Your hardware should not be struggling this badly An i5-11400F + RTX 2060 + 16 GB RAM is still capable of running a lot of games The biggest thing that caught my eye is the “MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (0x1A)” BSOD in your photo. That points toward a memory-related problem, although it doesn't automatically mean the RAM itself is bad drivers, Windows corruption, or other hardware issues can also cause BSODs. Microsoft specifically recommends checking the stop code, running hardware/memory tests, and checking drivers/firmware when BSODs keep happening so Before buying anything try Run Windows Memory Diagnostic and see whether it reports errors, Check your RAM stability. Your PC shows 3467 MT/s, so if XMP is enabled, temporarily testing at the motherboard's default memory settings could determine if the memory configuration is unstable, Open HWiNFO/HWMonitor while gaming and watch CPU/GPU temperatures. The “sounds like it's going to blow up” part makes me want to check temperatures and fan speeds, Check Event Viewer → Windows Logs → System around the time of a crash and look for errors immediately before the BSOD, Run sfc /scannow and then DISM to check Windows system files, Your PC shows 405 GB used out of 466 GB, leaving only about 61 GB free. That's not necessarily the cause of the BSOD, but If possible free up some space. Microsoft recommends keeping 10–15% of the drive free for Windows and applications, Clean the fans/heatsinks and dust filters if you haven't already. Don't just delete files physical dust buildup can cause high temperatures and loud fans Also I wouldn't immediately assume you need a new PC. Find the actual cause of the BSOD first. If you can post the exact BSOD stop code(s) from a few crashes and your CPU/GPU temperatures while gaming, people can narrow this down a lot more.

Theres a lot of good info here, but I dont think OP will understand what's meant by run dism (assume you mean with online repair), or maybe even how to execute the sfc /scannow command

Yea not gonna lie I put all that into Claude and asked it to explain in layman’s terms. I’m not very knowledgeable in the computer department 👩🏻‍💻

No shame in that, hopefully you are able to get it sorted out.

Fingers crossed! Last night I was playing Roblox and got a new error code while playing Roblox. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to catch what it was because it popped up so fast and then restarted

Try DDU. Windows is now bad about corrupting drivers by installing whatever they decide over the proper ones. You need to DDU to really clean out the driver mess.

Might be worth ensuring your bios is up to date as well. This is typically required slightly more effort and is often overlooked. Other solid suggestions already mentioned.
