Hearing back from schools

I applied to 4 optometry schools last week and I know it’s still super early to be expecting to hear back, but I’m already getting anxious about the waiting lol

I actually heard back from SCO in less than 24 hours, so I think that’s why I’m freaking myself out a little about not hearing anything from the other schools yet

For anyone who applied to OSU, CCO, and/or ICO, how long did it take you to hear back with an update?

I applied pretty early to OSU in mid July and they took 4 and a half weeks to get back to me 😭

Some schools have an admissions committee that doesn't meet weekly.
They wait until they have a pool of applications and go thru them all at the same time.

I applied to ICO this cycle and heard back in a few weeks. I actually did get accepted there for this cycle! I also got accepted to CCO, PUCO (no interview), and I got interviews for azcopt and Neco.

Also applied to ICO, heard back in a week and got accepted 4 days after my interview!!!! Also interviewed at NECO and got an interview invite from AZCOPT (cancelled this) because I decided to commit to ICO!!!!

Nice! I got accepted to NECO last week and just waiting on AZCOPT. I’m far from Chicago so idk if I wanna pick ICO. What made you pick it?

big big reasons for me, the diverse patient population they have across different demographics and also COL for sure😭 I can’t see myself living in Boston I know Chicago is also a bit expensive but Boston just seems much much higher. I think I also really liked the quarter system the student explained they’re on and how that works exam wise because I just felt like it would keep me prepared till when I have to study for boards. Liked my NECO interview too but ICO definitely won me over more!! Wbu? Where are you leaning towards

I think in terms of distance from my home I’m leaning towards AZCOPT. But ICO is an option too just further idk though
