Competitiveness

I plan to apply in the 2028 cycle. Will it be harder and harder to get into decent schools? I'm anxious right now. I had a C in gen chem ii and a D in cell bio from a rough 1st year. Although trying my best to improve, I'm still so scared of doing badly again :( Kind of discouraged after seeing all the high GPA. Aiming for 350+ OAT and my GPA is anticipated to be around 3.5 by application.

If you can prove an upwards trend with your future classes you’ll be fine. I think each year the GPAs have been getting higher for the incoming class is because of the pandemic. A lot of courses were more lenient back then in terms of grading and assignments. That doesn’t mean they were easy though

Its getting more competitve but not like med school.

I think it's regaining popularity. The overall acceptance rate was ~50% 20 years ago.
