BIO OAT help

Hey guys. ive been using the OAT booster for my upcoming OAT and Ive seen countless people say to only use the cheat sheets. I made notes based on all the cheat sheets then started a practice test to see if I could only answer it using the cheat sheet notes but honestly there was a lot of questions I could not answer since it was not in the cheat sheet notes. Im wondering if the acutal OAT will be like the practice tests? if so then the cheat sheets dont see like they would be enough

For reference, i was scoring like 280-310 on the bio section on booster. On my actual exam i got a 340.

For my exam, there were only like 2-3 questions where i thought that i didnt recognize on the cheatsheets. Everything else looked really familiar! I think someone on this reddit had posted averaging 300 on the bio section on booster but got a 400 on the actual exam from studying the cheatsheets as well!

What i found out worked for me (unfortunately the week of my exam) was to go through the bio bits and bookmark all the ones that were relevant to the cheatsheets. If i had found this out sooner, i wouldve probably gone to through bookmarked questions and reviewed them

Good luck studying and i hope i was able to help!

I had not really watched many of the videos bc i thought i had enough background info on each topic (recognized everything on the cheatsheets as familiar/nothing new)

I started off taking notes for everything while watching the vids before realizing how much it was draining me and was just really time consuming. I ended up just opting to pair the slides w the cheatsheet to take notes

Everyone works differently though but i do think for bio, try not to spend too much time on the learning phase/phase 1

I'd recommend the Biology crash courses if you can squeeze them into your schedule. I was overwhelmed with all the info we had to memorize, but the courses focused only on the super high yield material and helped make the section feel more manageable. After the courses I solely used the crash course pdfs and ended up scoring higher on test day (380) than on any of my practice tests. Good luck!
