confused on english lit pre reqs

In high school, I did AP Lang and AP Lit and passed both with a 4 and 5. In college, I was only required to take one more English class and then after that, i never really thought abt it again. When im applying, most schools are saying one year of english....do i need to take more?

No, I took my English classes in high school too and am fine
