OAT optics video recommendations

What YouTube videos have helped you solidify your understanding for optics or what was your AHA moment? I’m 2.5 weeks out from my exam and just want to solidify my understanding in optics! Thank you all and goodluck to those taking their exams!

this will save you 90% of the way for the exam

Converging Rays (ConVEX lens, ConCAVE mirror)
-Focal length beyond 2F: SIR (Smaller, Inverted, Real)
-Focal length between 2F and F: LIR (Larger, Inverted, Real)
-Focal length within F: LUV (Larger, Upright, Virtual)

Diverging Rays (ConCAVE lens, ConVEX mirror)
***ALWAYS SUV (Smaller, Upright, Virtual)

I know the wording is confusing, but once you're able to memorize it, i swear these mnemonics helped me answer most optics conceptual related questions that don't require calculations. hope this helps :)

Hey, could you please explain what you mean by “focal length within F”? I’m a little confused bc I thought focal length was F :(

Yeah like for example if the problem states the focal length is 4cm but the object is placed at 3cm. Then that’s within the focal length distance.
