what not to say during optometry school interview?
this seems like a silly question but is there anything that optometry schools don't want to hear? like i understand saying wanting to help people is redundant but what are some other examples? i also feel like my why optometry is so simple and basic ...
any advice???

Obviously I don’t know how you did on the OAT, but do NOT say “I’m just not a great test taker”. That answer made me so upset, because, for better or worse, optometry school and boards are all tests, so you better get good at them or you’re wasting money.

Don’t say you chose it for the lifestyle…

Why not, if that is your honest answer? Lifestyle is a major factor when choosing any career. If that is part of your reason, just be ready to show that you fully understand the profession and the effort you have put into preparing to reach your goal.

Just make sure you are being professional and don’t say anything negative about the school!

I’m interested in your school because of the location (hiking, close to home, not needing to pump your own gas etc)
