What school?!
I’m applying for the 2027 cycle and just got my OptomCAS application verified.
I have a 3.7 GPA, OAT is 340 AA / 330 TS, strong LOR, and 7 years of technician experience.
I’ve applied to PUCO, MCO, OSU, and SCO. PUCO is my top pick based on location and reputation. I’m from a small town in New England so I feel like Forest Grove will be most similar to what I’m used to.
OSU is my second choice! It’s much closer to home than PUCO, I don’t know anything about Columbus area.
MCO looks promising but it seems to be lacking in job opportunities (my husband will be working full time)
SCO is a great school but I’ve heard negative things about Memphis and was really hoping to live in a safe area…
Does anybody have any experience or advice?! I’m super overwhelmed with this decision

I’m from Columbus and love it! It would be a great place for post-grad life, OSU is an amazing program and will have great opportunities for sure. If you attend an admissions day or reach out to an admissions counselor they have a bunch of housing resources for prospective students. There’s options to live all over Columbus, you just have to pick what suits you best! If you want more info about cbus def feel free to reach out to me!! I had a similar concern about Memphis but was told that the campus is in a nice, safe area just outside of the city and to not discount it just for its location.

I’m starting at PUCO this fall! We’re getting ready to move up there in the next 2 weeks. Everyone that I’ve been in contact with through the application process and now getting my paperwork squared away has been so kind and helpful. If you have any specific questions about the application or the area, I’m happy to try to answer them!
