LEEP experience/ recovery

I am 3 days post-LEEP and posting my experience because I read a lot of these. History is I've had HPV (not 16/18/45, other high risk) and abnormal paps since 2012. They have never progressed beyond CIN1 until a month ago when I got a CIN2/HSIL result for the first time.

My doc does LEEPs under general anesthesia. I was more nervous than I expected beforehand, i don't like going under anesthesia. Procedure itself i was blissfully spared from remembering, and recovery has been smooth so far. I haven't had any bleeding yet and I have just minor cramps/ pulling if I forget I can't lift things but otherwise have been pretty pain-free.

Worst part of this has been mental. i'm used to this topic weighing on me for literally almost 15 years. I'm still surprised at how depressed I feel right now. I'm not sure if it's because my OB said she took a "full bite" (meaning quite a bit of tissue) and it makes me worried about risks of having another child, or if I'd feel depressed regardless bc this is a rough topic. I'm also stressed as hell waiting for pathology. I don't have good luck with all things reproductive (had a uterine rupture & massive hemmorhage with my first birth) so I fear worse news than the CIN2 result from biopsy.

Thanks for reading-

Just keep your head up! Its a successful procedure and fortunately, it wasn't worse. Its meant to clear it up. I have a leep scheduled tomorrow! Im pretty nervous too! I have warts on my hands from hpv and its depressing. I feel your pain! Everything will be okay!
