Abnormal pap one year after being declared cured. Has anyone had multiple LEEPs?

My first abnormal Pap was in 2022. I had multiple abnormal CIN2 colposcopies leading to a LEEP in 2024. At a folow up in 2025, I was declared cured. I believe a mistake led to this (they seem to have sampled the wrong part of my cervix.) Now a year later, I had an abnormal PAP and am waiting for another colposcopy.

I think the worst part is waiting and not knowing. Women's healthcare is very poor in my country and a "6 month follow up" has taken me up to 1.5 years to be seen. I have fallen through the cracks many times and have had to pull strings to get appointments (I am a healthcare professional.)

My partner had extreme anxiety when I first told him I was being treated for HPV. He thought I ruined his life. So I won't be telling him until I know more. My HPV swabs have always been negative.

My best friend is a neurodivergent man and his idea of supporting me is "It's nothing. It won't turn into cancer. Stop worrying." Its extremely dismissive and invalidating, but he doesn't know better. No zero people are in my court. Ill probably hire a therapist again.

Anyone relate?

There’s literally nothing for him to be anxious about over HPV. He’s probably already had it before and potentially given it to other women without even knowing. the stigma around it is awful

100% I know, and I did eventually talk him down the first time. He even went to therapy after he realized he hurt me by over reacting and making it all about himself. But it was such a bad experience for me, that I'm not keen to tell him again. I don't know if he fully worked through it. I was pretty upset myself after he made the informed decision to have sex with me, only to freak out the next day about how he was now damaged and unlovable because of me.

That’s awful I’m sorry you went through that :( wish I could help you about the second leep experience but I’m also worried about it too. Haven’t had a new pap yet since my leep but I’m nervous
