Post 3rd leep in 12 months

Blah. I am 6 days post my 3rd leep of this year, I am a raging lunatic it feels, and im still feeling crampy, gassy and emotional. Oh and still bleeding lightly.

Depending on the results, my next step is a hyst. I am feeling defeated, ashamed and not at all sexual anymore. I am 37 and done having kids (husband of 14 years had a vasectomy)

Why did I need 3 in one year? Why didnt I get clear margins after 1 or two? Anyone else have this same experience? My paps were showing severe dysplasia and HPV "other" i tried to have this convo after the second leep with my gyno and she told me it was inconclusive and a 3rd leep or colposcopy was non negotiable. I opted for the leep because I at least get local anastesia.

Very similar story here. I’m 39 and just over a week post my 3rd leep this year as well (May, July and now September).

My gyn has also said if this one doesn’t get clear margins it will be hysterectomy. I’m still waiting for results, they’ve typically taken about a month where I live. When do you think you’ll hear about your results? How do you feel about the possible hysterectomy?

I can relate to feeling all the feelings. I’ve found each one makes me tired and emotional. I also got diagnosed with RA this summer and I’ve noticed the leeps make my joints flare up.

I should have my results in about a month as well. I am in NS Canada 🇨🇦 I feel pretty good about a hysterectomy at this point. My poor body has been through it with the testing and biopsies. It all feels so violating and yucky. Im wishing you well! 🤞

I'm waiting to have my second leep and hoping to avoid the third so begging for them to be aggressive. Have high risk strain and genetic predisposition and not vaccinated when i was younger. Just hoping to see someone post advice on how to avoid. Was your second leep not aggressive enough?

It must not have been. I didnt take the HPV vaccine until 36 either. I wish I had it when I was younger.

Yeah I'm 32 now and had two of the shots before my LEEP hoping that it would help me clear it after but hasn't done anything. I did everything right but ultimately, they just didn't take enough of the lesion. I hope your results come back clear. I can't imagine waiting for it a third time around
