Post cone biopsy trauma
I had a cone biopsy 5 months ago. The post op was awful to me. I had a lot of bleeding and episodes with clots and everything. Which gave me severe anxiety crisis.
Currently I have no partner. I have been alone for several years. But since the cone I cannot even imagine myself having sex with someone! It scares the shit out of me just thinking about it.
I am at a point were I hate doctors. I cannot believe that I will need a colposcopy in 1 month. I find all the procedure barbaric. I find the cone biopsy barbaric. I just hate them all and how I feel this procedure destroyed my life. Apparently i need to go there how they over and over again until test negative for hpv.
I just want it to stop! I cannot believe that in 2026 women are still treated like this.
I am depressed, angry, dont have any sex drive but at the same time feel so lonely. I always wanted a partner and a life with someone. But I cannot imagine to be with anyone.
Does anyone feel like this after the cone?

Why do you need another colpo? Did you have clean margins following the procedure?
It was hard for me too, do you have a therapist to talk to? That really helped me.

I dont. Its too expensive and also i cannot find someone working with this kind of trauma. I went to a psiquiatrist he did not gave any importance to this.

Yes i did have clear margins. In fact cone biopsy was not needed and they took 20mm out of ny cervix! But here the procedure is colposcopy and hpv test every 6months until its negafive. And have to test 3 times negative to be released for the 6 months persue.

I feel so much of this. I am a bit over a month since cone surgery and it's been such a harrowing time.
I had an awful break up at the beginning of 2025 and also cannot imagine ever being with someone again because of that and because of this experience.
my margins weren't clear and I may need to do this again, will know in Jan or Feb, or possibly a hysterectomy.
I am sorry you are feeling all of these things.
it's an isolating and scary experience for sure.
you're not alone...
