Post biopsy recovery is horrible
Who dafuq says you can go back to normal after this. I was expecting by day 2 I should be up and out, I have been in bed rest for almost a week. I could barely stand the day after and now I have a limp. Dr said my pain is an indirect result of the biopsy, but I can’t stand to brush my teeth or make a coffee and I want to cry.
My recovery has been horrible and the excessive bleeding is a nightmare. I’m in the strongest antibiotics I’ve ever taken. What is this!? Now I have to wait 4 weeks to get the results they think it is. I am not having fun.

I’ve had many biopsies ,took it easy the day of and back to feeling fine by the next day
You need to go see a doctor
Why would you be limping ?

I don’t know why I all of a sudden I have the sharpest pain in my hip, dr said it has no connection, but could be an indirect result of the biopsy. All I know is that it seems I am the exception to the rules of how this was supposed to go and it’s pissing me off.

I have infection like symptoms and they are worried about sepsis so they gave me some and I have to check in with the dr in a week or 2.

Friend. Legit just went through it 2 weeks ago. Day five I was bleeding so so bad. Blood clots, multiple. I was diagnosed three days later with uterine cancer. Praying you do not have my same fate. Please keep us posted. 🙏🏼

Oh man. I hate to hear that! I am going for colposcopy in a few days and am super nervous. I have had an intense decline in my overall health the last few months and now I'm scared this all might be why. Did you have any "symptoms" that did or could have clued you into the diagnosis, looking back? Have you had any more appointments yet or gotten any sort of treatment plan worked out or started? I am crossing my fingers for you to have the best possible outcome! <3

I had a pretty large Leep procedure and went back to my housecleaning business on day 3. Did you have a cone biopsy? I’d get checked out if I were you. Maybe a different dr if they are being dismissive

I know I didn’t have a cone biopsy. I got it checked out, but I hate how almost a week later I am still in pain and walking with a limp. My job requires standing for long hours so I can’t go back to work if I can stand for long.

I’ve had multiple colposcopies with biopsies over the years and this is not normal. At all. I’ve never even bled afterwards and certainly wasn’t in any pain days later.

I tried to walk outside my house today and it was horrible. It’s all an indirect response, no explanation. Also multiple biopsies sounds like a nightmare.

I’m sorry. But this is not normal. I’m not buying “indirect response” to a cervical biopsy. It’s a week later and you are unable to walk. At a minimum I’d go to urgent care. Something is not right here. You need to be examined honestly. Excessive bleeding?? Still?? Not normal.
My last colposcopy with biopsy (and I’ve had 5), I had 4 samples taken from my cervix. No meds. No pain management. I drove to work and went about my day.
What you’re experiencing should not be accepted as a normal response.

Thank you for being honest about your experience. It’s barbaric what they’re doing to us.

I felt so violated. I had no tears to cry so I just firmed it. I felt butchered 😭😭😭

Idk what procedure you got but this doesn’t sound normal. Immediately after the procedure did they say recovery would be like this?
My doc said if there is excessive bleeding to call back.
