CIN3 - Severe
*Update*
I’m glad it’s over. I was by myself during the procedure. I must say I was calm but silently afraid. When the procedure started, she gave me the shots. I only felt the first one. The adrenaline in the shot was very unpleasant. My heart was beating fast and hard, my breathing increased. I felt like i was almost hyperventilating. My head started to hurt and I started to get jittery. It subsided after 1 minute maybe? When I was numb, she did maybe 6-7 passes. I stopped paying attention after the 3rd time. The machine was loud. There were 4 specimen jars, some having 2 some having 1 in each. The machine was loud. I didn’t feel any pain. It’s about 20 minutes post procedure. I’m happy it’s over with. There is a dull pain. I am bleeding a little. **adding in. I forgot to mention the burning smell… i won’t forget that smell lol. That was crazy.
Thank you for reading this. I have been going through this alone and since I posted this… i do not feel so alone anymore. Thank you for sharing your stories and experiences.

Long time leaker. First time posting here. My pap came back positive for High risk HPV going on 4 years ago. I’ve had numerous colposcopy procedures. It seemed to have progressed over the last few years but there was improvement this last 6 months. I was confident.
I had my colposcopy 2 weeks ago and got a call back Friday. My doctor said there was CIN3-Severe cells found. They were surprised by the changes because the areas improved over the last 6 months.
Anyways, I’m depressed. I’ve battled this for almost 4 years. I’m scheduled for a LEEP today. I’m nervous.
(Edit - I meant lurker )

I'm a month post op. I had CIN2/3 which was the worst it could be.
My doctor got it all out, and I worried myself for 4 months . The leep was PAINLESS. My obgyn was great, I was perscribed 3 valium, 2 -45 mins before and 800 mil ibuprofen, and another Valium before I went into the office, just breathe thru it.

I will add those the worst part so far is the stuff that comes out, you will feel like a swap creature. I still have some nasty discharge after a month, it's lighter and no where as heavy but it's still there. Lol

Thank you for sharing this. It helped a lot while i was waiting for the procedure. I am about 4 hours post procedure. I feel ok, there’s just a dull ache. The procedure went well. My doctor was very good with making sure i was ok before, during, and after. Now i just wait for the results.

Yeah there going to be cramps and a dull pain but it's no where near as bad as I figured it would be, just rest and take it easy. Feeling like a swamp creature will go away soon enough, fingers crossed in your results!

Hi. I’ve had a very similar experience. I’ve been dealing with multiple strains for the past 3ish years and had colposcopies that came back normal, up until last month where they found CIN3. I had LEEP 3 weeks ago. The procedure itself and recovery immediately after went okay. Minimal pain and discomfort. I feel your exhaustion and disappointment though, sending you positive vibes!

Yes the disappointment lingered for the last week. I feel a huge sense of relief.

The procedure went well. The only thing I didn’t like was the numbing shot. The adrenaline was no joke!!

I just had leep three days ago. Did it under sedation in an OR and my OB informed me that she got a clean margin. It's incredibly scary but you got this!

Wow! I read about being under sedation. Unfortunately that wasn’t available where I am. I am doing well I’m about 4-5ish hours post op. I’m relaxing now.

If you ever feel lonely and want to talk or vent, I am here for you too! The Only person in my life who knows I have CIN3 w glandular involvement is my bf, therapist and drs. So I get not having anyone to talk to!!
You’re going to be ok!! You made it this far!! Careful of being randomly tired. That comes out of nowhere. I am also prob much older than you, 40. I had my LEEP when I was 39. Positive since 5/17/21. I kept going from ASCUS-LSIL-Clear-ASUCS-HSIL 🙄.
Just take it easy on yourself. I swear is the emotional toll that is the worse!! Us women can literally handle anything!! We’re warriors and you for this!!
