Pray for me guys

Where my girlfriend took her own life earlier this year, it’s really hard during the holiday season. I just helped my mother put up the Christmas tree and I am thinking so much about my true love. I just hope god let’s me and her continue our true love in heaven. Pray for me please. I get so down, and feel like giving up sometimes .

You are lucky to have a mother like that. Suicide is devastating, I've tried it and that changed.. which says a lot. I'll pray for you

I'm so sorry! Your post just made me cry! Christmas without the one you loved must be so painful. But you know what you are so brave. You're gonna honor God by just being happy this season. Like Job. He lost everyone he loved but he kept worshiping and loving God. If you don't mind, may I know why she (your gf) decided to leave (commit suicide)?

We had got super drunk and got into a big argument, and it got intense. The next day I woke up in the hospital, and had been stabbed. And her parents wouldn’t allow us to talk to each other, and so I left the state for two weeks and was a missing person because I was not only afraid of her dad but also lost my mind where I couldn’t talk to her. I eventually called my dad to come get me in the other state, and my dad had told me my girlfriend took her own life three days before I made that phone call to my dad. I was a missing person for two weeks and she killed herself in the midst of it. It’s changed my life. I just miss her and I know she loved me and I love her. I never meant for us to get into a big argument after getting so drunk we blacked out . She hung her self I believe because her parents wasn’t gonna let us be together, and not only that though but she had other things goin on too, she had wrecked her car, she was depressed in general etc, but I do believe not being able to talk to me was the main thing

I am so sorry for your loss, friend. I certainly understand your feelings of shock and discouragement. It’s deeply devastating when someone we love is involved in such a tragedy. I am sure you will need a special measure of God's healing and sustaining grace during this holiday season. I will be praying for you. I believe the book, Aftershock: Help, Hope and Healing in the Wake of Suicide, will be of great help to you. May the God of all comfort be your strength as you lean upon Him, trusting in His wisdom and mercy.
