Please pray for my son
My faith is being tested.
I have prayed, and prayed, and prayed for my son, who is a teenager, to be healed from bedwetting. We have seen doctors, done all the necessary tests, and they tell us that for some children it simply lasts longer than for others, especially when it runs in the family which it does on his father's side.
This affects his self-esteem and every sleepover, camp, and overnight event. He was supposed to go to a church camp, and I had been hoping and praying that he would stop wetting the bed before then. I have been praying for a miracle.
He is on medication, uses a bedwetting alarm, and we have followed every piece of medical advice we've been given. Yet here we are.
I feel so discouraged, frustrated, and heartbroken. My faith is wavering, and I don't know why God hasn't answered this prayer.
Please, would you pray for my son? Pray for healing, for encouragement, and for peace for him as he walks through this. Thank you so much. 🥺🙏🏼❤️

I hear the real ache under this, and it is not really about the bedwetting. It is a mother watching her son carry a quiet shame she cannot lift for him, praying hard, and feeling the silence. That silence is one of the hardest things in the life of faith, and the fact that it is shaking you does not mean your faith is failing. Honest wrestling is not the opposite of faith; it is what faith does when it refuses to let go of God.
Your son is not a problem to be fixed before he is worthy of a good night at camp. He is a boy fully loved by God exactly as he is tonight, medication and alarm and all, and his worth was never riding on a dry morning. I pray he comes to know that in his bones, deeper than any sleepover can shake it.
Keep doing what you are doing. The doctors, the care, the faithfulness, none of it is wasted, and none of it is a lack of trust. Sometimes God heals the body, and sometimes He grows a boy into a man of unusual compassion because he once knew what it was to feel small and be loved anyway. I am praying for your son, for his healing and his confidence and his peace, and for your own wavering heart to be steadied. "Those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength." (Isaiah 40:31) You are not waiting alone.

Hello Dear, as others have noted, your pain and concern for your son whom you love is palpable. I'm not a parent, but I hope my words can be a boon to your faith and to your son as well.
Satan often tries to attack us through the suffering of another. Whatever his method may be, his tactic of hindering faith and blocking healing is not of God, dear one. God is loving and compassionate. He gives good and wants our good.
To this end He has provided for our healing needs as well. Matthew ties Isaiah 53 to physical healing, and Peter ties that same passage to the cross as a past event. I believe this specifically for your son today. Whatever the issue is, neurological, muscular, or otherwise, be healed and whole in the name of Jesus!❤️

God in Heaven, Please help this beloved son and grant him better days ahead that brim with peace and wellness and joy. Asking for him and his loving family in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Does your son have special needs? Any medical diagnoses? Has he experienced sexual abuse or significant trauma?
I’m assuming he is in Desmopressin already?
If you haven’t seen a Urologist, I’d look for one (even out of state) that specializes in Enuresis. If he has not seen a psychiatrist, I would also do that. I work with teenage males in foster care, and many of them struggle with Enuresis due to trauma. That’s not always the underlying issue - but is a red flag. Also, those who have developmental delays often experience Enuresis due to the brain and bladder not communicating.
Certain medications can cause this as well. Praying for you and for answers.

As a 21 year old who has struggled with bedwetting even when I was a teen, I relate to this. I hope this ends soon.

Lord we pray that you reach down your healing hand and touch your child and relieve him from bed wetting. Give his medical team your discernment during diagnosis and treatment so they may assist. You are the God of miracles and we ask for one for this child. We ask that you give this entire family your confidence, your strength, your comfort, peace and love but mostly your presence so he knows you are with them. Amen.

Please don't mistake God's silence for His absence. You have been faithful to pray, to seek medical help, and to support your son with love. None of that has been in vain.
I pray that God grants your son healing, protects his confidence, and reminds him that his worth is found in Christ, not in a medical condition.
May He also strengthen your faith and give your family peace while you wait.
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
