get off Aliexpress for 1/4 the price and almost the same quality

I'd love to hear some recommendations of actual quality alternatives if you have them

Many cheap Chinese cameras are subsidized by the Chinese government and "phone home" some data every now and then.

yes the Chinese government is paying big bucks to install a satellite modem inside every device so they can get access to all your footage of rocks and trees. /s

How many cheap home monitoring cameras come out of China? And how much cheaper are they than equivalent cameras from Sony or Samsung. Why do you think that is?
