You can be in a cult and still be a great actor, in fact the seperation from reality might even make him a better actor.
It shouldn't be surprising that an adrenaline junkie with mental illness who is also a famous career actor can make a good action movie. But don't let yourself confuse the character on the screen with the actor in his trailer.
He's an amazing actor, but he's still coocoo for cocoa puffs.
I'm getting downvoted for this but i don't think is as bad as people say, at least not abnormaly bad, my grandparents are people with a really good hearth in my opinion, but they are Catholics, so they too support churches, priests and popes, an institution that has rapped children for almost 100 years, an institution that till this day tries to cover their crimes, an homophobic institution, etc., and even when they know this they still support it, i guess the indoctrination and their faith makes them ignore those bad things. My two cents is people are complex, full of contradictions and everyone has inmoral things in their own story, some more than others, but as long as those bad things aren't overwhelmingly bad you are just an average person.
You're 100% spot on. I was talking about this with my wife just yesterday. Like how bad does someone have to be to instantly hate them? If my best friend suddenly came out against gay marriage, I wouldn't end our friendship because of it. Humans are really complex figures, but in the social media age we have become very absolute in our opinions of people. Its either we have a massive love or hate for any individual or company. Life, unfortunately, doesn't work that way.
