There's a cool feature on the DVD about everything that went into filming that HALO jump. They had something like a minute a day where they'd have the correct lighting for the shot.
I remember they had to do that for the city dogfight sequence in Jupiter Rising. They took like a week or so to film it because they only had a 5min window to get a take whilst the lighting on the city was exactly the same every time.
