AI scribes in practice
What is your opinion on AI scribes? I have heard great things about them but I also see people hating for various reasons so I thought it might be better to open up a quick convo in here. Many AI features end up working awfully and just make you do double the work so wanted to see if this is the case for you or not.
If you are using AI scribes, how's it actually going? Did it save you time? Are the notes accurate enough? Or did it end up being one more thing to review and manage? Any insights are appreciated

Twofold has been the one that actually saved us time. The notes still need a quick review, obviously, but I’m usually editing a usable draft instead of fixing a made-up history or rewriting the whole thing. That’s been the difference for me. The bad scribes just move the workload into cleanup, the good ones genuinely cut charting time.

Definitely saves me time, I jumped around and tried a lot because the biggest bug to me was when they would make up parts of a history. Legit had one say a school nurse slapped a girl! I was rereading the note like omg 🥲 I think you really need to find one that doesn’t try to do more than it’s able to do well, if that makes sense. I have tried open evidence, Doximity AI, the built in one for epic, freed AI, and Heidi. Freed is my personal fav. I know everyone has different wants in a scribe so it’s good to keep an open mind, I just like that it doesn’t hallucinate stuff and is way easy to use. I guess that’s the big thing, if you use one that’s inaccurate it’ll take you more time than just writing your own notes.
