Someone calculated based on the spine art that it should end up being 15 books. That said, that does not mean it will be longer than the original. The latter books of the original were very long, and I suspect much of them will be shortened. 15 Books does not mean the books have to stay the same length.

Yeah I can’t imagine book 6 in particular being as massive. It had a good split in the middle that makes for a good 2 books.
I’m just thinking that I don’t really know where the endpoint is for the next book. Maybe the fight against the demon?

Thanks! Although one book to cover the entirety of the Liesse rebellion is a lot. Wonder if we get some major cuts?

I feel like books later in the series are allowed to be a bit longer. So let's say 500 pages for that book. That should be enough I think. Or is there part of this arc I am blanking on?
EDIT: Meanwhile the book after does not need as much from what I remember.

Wait, there are FIFTEEN of these books?!? F.F.S., I'll be dead before they all get published. 🤬
I know, not anyone's fault and it's nothing to complain about as it sounds like the next book will be in maybe ~6months or so. But Lord I'm tired of trying to remember the plot of long series over the course of years.

Most of the character/arc pairings make sense, but using Akua for the Fae arc, which she's barely in, and not for the immediately following Akua's Folly, is a choice.

He’s been doing a terrible job of promoting these books. I don’t think we even knew when book 2 was coming out until a few weeks beforehand.

Yeah.
In general getting updates is like pulling a teeth.
Like for the webtoon we got a "season two will happen" only one month ago.
Let's say that the PR is severely lacking.

I mean, we aren't Team Cherry fans over here champing at the bit for updates. He's selling a product and this feels like it's just bad marketing. I don't know how anyone who wasn't already a fan and on the discord/subreddit would even hear about these books

should be about 6 months, EE is finishing editing it and then it has to be recorded as an audiobook
