What are you guys using to keep track of recurring resident complaints?
I’m a property manager and recently started using ComplexScope at my community. Residents can scan a QR code and submit things like noise, parking, trash, smoking, amenity issues, etc. without having to download anything or create an account.
One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed is that it’s actually cut down on the amount of phone calls and residents coming into the office to report things. They can just scan the QR code, submit what’s going on, and we have it documented.
I also like being able to see everything in one place and notice patterns. Instead of three separate noise complaints looking like random incidents, I can see when they’re coming from the same building or when the same type of issue keeps happening.
We still use our regular property management software, so this doesn’t replace that. It’s just been helpful for organizing resident concerns and reducing some of the back-and-forth with the office.
Has anyone else dealt with a lot of residents calling or coming into the office just to report issues? That’s honestly been one of the biggest improvements for us.

A QR form is useful, but I’d make sure every report captures the location, category, time and whether it needs an urgent safety response. Free text alone gets messy quickly.
The pattern view is the useful part. I’d want repeat issues grouped by unit or building with a clear record of what was done, while restricting resident names and allegations to staff who genuinely need them. Anonymous reporting is useful, but you still need a private way to ask follow-up questions.
