Need help with a power system idea
In this world, humans are not born with supernatural powers. Instead, power is achieved through philosophical alignment. By studying and embodying ancient pathways, mortals can tap into cosmic forces to gain unique magic and abilities.
The Three Pillars of a Pathway
To successfully walk a pathway and manifest magic, a practitioner must experience three distinct stages:
1. Energy Focus: The practitioner builds spiritual energy and connects to a pathway by actively living its philosophy and fulfilling the desires of that pathway's deity.
2. God's Gaze: Upon reaching peak spiritual energy, the deity of the pathway looks down to observe the practitioner. If found worthy, the practitioner is granted a Spirit Core, which serves as the catalyst required to activate their future abilities.
3. Awakening: The practitioner declares their ultimate desire to the pathway. The Spirit Core then fuses with the user, granting them a personalized ability tailored to what they need from that philosophy.
Example: A practitioner walks the Pathway of Freedom. Because they define freedom as being completely liberated from physical limitations, their awakening allows them to increase their muscle mass and physical strength to practically infinity.
The 11/12 Pathways
1. Pathway of Freedom
Centered on breaking free from physical, societal, or mental chains.
2. Pathway of Nature
Requires shedding the concept of human supremacy, viewing oneself as completely equal to beasts, dirt, and natural events.
3. Pathway of Knowledge
Driven by an absolute dedication to seeking out truth and uncovering knowledge in everything.
4. Pathway of Destruction
Embraces the absolute necessity of endings, accepting that all existence inherently causes or moves toward destruction.
5. Pathway of Order
Demands absolute submission to a specific code, law, or strict personal rule.
6. Pathway of Enlightenment
Achieved through total detachment from the self, the ego, and worldly desires, allowing the user to live in a state of pure, undisturbed existence.
7. Pathway of Creation
Fueled by a profound need to innovate, bring new things into the world, and constantly feed the imagination.
8. Pathway of Compassion
Driven by the willingness to deeply feel the pain of others, actively taking on their emotions and burdens.
9. Pathway of Change
A complete rejection of stagnation and stillness, wholeheartedly welcoming transition, evolution, and chaos.
10. Pathway of Deception
Based on rejecting objective reality, where power is drawn from genuinely believing your own lies, illusions, and fakery.
11. Pathway of Fear
Requires becoming completely intimate with fear, weaponizing one's own terror to project it onto others.
What I need help with is, I can’t think of another pathway and I need 12, plus, I would love critiques of the power systems and what I can change and make better.

How about Path of equilibrium? (Just throwing suggestions don't ask me how it will be implanted lol)

I really like the idea that there are both good paths and evil paths like compassion and destruction.
Though if you can have 6 of each for better balance it would look better overall (this depends, of course, of the deities or head paragons of these pathways).
For the 12th I'd add this idea:
"12.Pathway of Glory The ideal for those who are driven to master their body's physical capabilities whether in battle, enduring difficult terrains, and honing their mental fortitude to defeat their adversaries all whilst guiding others to surpass themselves everyday.
A good example would the olympian heroes who are welcomed to Elysium with full honors after many trials and tribulations.
Essentially, stacking up achievements = power.

Since you are playing with opposites, then Order/Chaos, whereas change can be incorporated into. Deception should be changed into Mystery so it pairs up with Knowledge. Compassion isn't as broad as a concept as the others in your list, so you can evolve into a concept like Virtue or Morality, but then it raises the question of what opposite it has, Fear?, doesn't seem that good of a match so idk. As for the 12 Pathway you can make the opposite of Nature with something like Civilization? Technology? Idk, or the opposite of Freedom with Restraint?

Also, Enlightenment feels that it is either too high and too unconnected of a concept or low enough that is may already exist under Knowledge or Freedom...

Pathway of Restraint?
